What Do You Do for Christmas Presents on a Budget
Money Saving
Do you make your own Christmas gifts? Shop all year ? What's your secrets, would be good to share with people who need some ideas who are on a budget ❤
Love the idea of making flavoured fudge! & making boxes for them. Or little sweet jars very effective
I've got into knitting and crochet recently so blankets and scarves, but yarn can work out expensive if you don't shop around for deals. It's dirt cheap in charity shops too.
I'm definitely a fan of 'make what you can' but then I also love any excuse to be creative, but we also buy all year round (depending on the present of course)
I tend to start shopping in the January / Boxing Day sales and save them for the next year, why pay £8 for a set of shower gel if you can get them for £4 on Boxing Day also like to do little hampers of small bits they like, if you buy multipacks you can split them up for a few different hampers and save a fortune...
Buy throughout the year when there are sales. Don't buy anything full price. Plenty of bargains to be had.
Buy earlier in the year. Started doing this a couple year ago & makes a huge difference. I also make hampers, usually xmas food hampers, so I buy bits & pieces as I see them on offer. Not always necessarily cheaper but helps spread the cost out.
Why not suggest putting everyone’s name in a hat like a secret Santa and agree to buy just one present for that person. Don’t know about the rest of you and I really don’t want to sound ungrateful but every Christmas I end up with things I don’t particularly like or use. And have to make all the pleasant responses of that’s lovely etc. I’m turning into Victor Meldrew!
End up with so many bath sets that I cant use feels like such a waste I like to give vouchers but sometimes it's nice to give a present
Sales after Christmas buy the soap box sets and put them away for the year after saves loads money
