Christmas Presents for Pets - Unusual?
Ask a Question
I buy and wrap Christmas presents for my 2 dogs, I also buy the rabbits a present too. My argument is that my pets are family members, but I have been told it's unusual.
They are part of the family and shouldn't be left out, its only a little treat. Is it non pet owners who say that?
Yes, but they used to have a pet that's the part I don't get. My dogs are part of the family and I'd feel so mean if I didn't get them anything.
They are family. No it’s not unusual. Some people don’t think that but I find that more odd tbh lol
Lol I know people who treat their pets as they are their babies...(I’ll admit, I’m one of them!) and nothing wrong with that. If you can love, why not love your pets too?
We buy our dog birthday and Christmas presents. She has even been known to get a steak on her birthday. She was our first baby, so why wouldn't we spoil her too.
Same here my 11 year old got steak / doggy tapas for her birthday this year, which included chicken, eggs, green beans, blueberries, steak, dog biscuits, carrots and watermelon...
sarahgreen15 oh now that sounds amazing! I may need to steal that idea for our dogs next birthday! People have been known to buy her presents too, they are even wrapped.
sarahgreen15 my dogs eat bananas, broccoli stalks and cabbage they're their favourites
I don’t tend to wrap the presents for my two dogs, but all friends who buy them presents wrap them I do always buy them something each every Christmas and for each of their birthdays
So glad there's so many "unusual" pet lovers out there. I'm getting my 2 dogs rawhide free bones and the 2 rabbits are getting a corn chew thingy.
I buy my two dogs Christmas, Birthday and "Gotcha Day" presents.
Possibly not a popular thing to say but I prefer them to most people.
