Christmas Trees - Real or Fake? Colour Scheme?
Ask a Question
Do you have a real Xmas tree or a fake one? And why? We have fake because we don't have space for a real one.
And do you keep to a colour theme or is it a hotch-potch of everything? We're the latter ... loads of decorations of different designs and colours, all accrued over the last 20 years, each with it's own memory.
I’ve got a fake one, it’s 7ft, it’s all colour coded for branches, I’ve got 7 sets of lights, oooh I love my tree but I hate putting it up as it takes me all day, mines are white, blue, red.
I've just ordered a 7ft flocked one from Wilkos.
Got about 3 sets of lights and half the worlds supply of baubles to chuck on it too.
I had a real one once never again too messy.
No colour theme just what kids fancy putting on
I have fake one 7ft.With pleasure would have real one as it reminds me my childhood,we always had real one and smell was amazing. Last few years I am going home on Christmas to see my parents ,so in my house my Christmas tree is up early, that I can enjoy it at home. And at parents house is real one,and we decorating it together when I am arriving with different toys, some left from my childhood.
Fake 7ft one with red and yellow decs. I bought quite a thin one so it fits into a smallish space. I’m getting some new led lights this year where I can control the colour
fake, i have young kids and i know my youngest would just pluck the real ones. also we have dr seuss theme in our house
Fake. Think I may treat us to a new one this year tho as we could use one. Wilko have a gorgeous flocked one I have my eye on. Our tree decs are very rustic/nordic themed. I hate tinsel & coloured lights so decorate with ribbons instead & white lights.
I'm having fake again this year due to having 2 youno children. I love the look of a real one but don't want the mess ofor pine needles everywhere. We're having multicoloured lights and decorations as the kids are making decorations at home and at school
I have a fake one, really dislike putting this up as it takes several attempts over several days to get it up and it is the most exhausting thing. No fun at all.
I have a 7ft pre-lit fake one, this year we are going with a blue, silver and white theme but previous years we have gone with red and gold, gold and silver and pink and blue, we love to change the theme keeps it fresh without buying a new tree
Me and my other half take turns with decor every year, its his turn this year he puts those foil garland things all over the house and any colours he wants on the tree, theres no 'scheme' so god knows what this year will be like. I like to keep it traditional red & gold or silver & blue etc.
I prefer a real tree but it’s not practical, so we have a plastic one which we’ve used for years and years, reusing decorations
I have a fake tree. Only silver and white decorations allowed on it. I blame Woolworths for this. I remember going to see their trees as a child and being awe struck at the one colour per tree displays. I decided then my tree would be one tone when I grew up. Still waiting to be a grown up!
