Do You Have a Cleaner?
Ask a Question
I don’t have a cleaner as I prefer to do the jobs myself, and having two dogs and a cat the fur is just embarrassing as much as I do keep on top of it!
My partners mom has a cleaner and she pays roughly £25 for a 2 hour clean every week.
Do you have a cleaner or do you prefer to do the housework yourself?!
I would see it as a waste of money as it is only me and although I work full time I do manage to keep on top of it. I could find better things to spend my hard earned wages on.
I guess if money was plentiful it would be nice to have someone do the heavy cleaning like skirting boards, cleaning the floor, oven and bathroom etc. But again while I can still do it I see it as a form of exercise!
Yes I would agree, I would want to spend my money on other things also! & definitely feels like a good workout after doing the house from top to bottom!
I don't like the idea of someone cleaning up after me, but i know quite a few people who have set up cleaning businesses and they are successful, seems to be what people want and they are happy to pay
Yes I feel the same! I have had a few leaflets through my door over the last few months so like you say people are obviously doing well with their cleaning businesses
I don't have a cleaner, I couldn't afford one. I'm constantly tidying and cleaning the house, with an almost one year old and a dog it is a never ending daily job.
I would feel the need to make sure the house the clean and tidy before the cleaner came so I wasn't embarrassed. I would want them to do a deep clean and would love someone to do my oven for me!
My friend has a cleaner who comes 3 times a week and she still cleans before the cleaner comes and complains that the cleaner doesn't do a good enough job.
Lol yes I don’t think I could afford one either! And i feel your pain with having the pets in our house I’m constantly cleaning up fur, I can imagine you have your work cut out with the little one as well. Haha your friend should cancel them if they are bad and look for a different company as I’m sure there will be a much better company for probably the same price!
AliceBell64468 it's a nightmare. I will have just put all the babies stuff away and the dog will have taken her toys out her box and my son will be playing with them! They two of them are like a double act, they follow each other around the house and share their toys and my son feeds the dog at mealtimes. I have to do the floor constantly as my wee man is crawling!
There is nothing wrong with her cleaner, she is just a perfectionist.
I do prefer to do things 'my way' but if you can afford it and you aren't particularly stressed by someone 'roaming free' in your house then why not. AliceBell64468 ps I think your topic has been piggybacked - a lot of it going around lately.....
Yes it has to be done a certain way that you like to do yourself.. but yes perhaps people’s opinions would be swayed if they had lots of money to spend on things like this!... Ah yes I see what you mean!!
I feel its waste of money. I clean my home myself. Just a two bedroom house and it doesn't take much time. I consider it an exercise.
Yes same we are only 2 bedroom house as well so doesn’t take long at all when you keep on top of it!
We did have one until we moved house and have a higher mortgage. I see it as buying time to spend with my family so I really appreciate it. My husband and I work long hours so we feel like we want to spend proper time as a family when we're home.
Yes that’s true it can definitely be a benefit when you work longer hours, although when I was younger I used to help my mom do all the chores and ironing and spend more time with her that way as well!
I am a cleaner and I’d still love to get a cleaner to do my house while I work lol... 3 boys and step daughters don’t make light work!
I live alone with 5 cats and have arthritic hands so it is a nightmare for me, but even if I did have a cleaner I would have to clean it before they came round in case they thought badly of me
I would love a cleaner so I could spend more time with my family. I couldn't afford it at the moment without getting rid if something else and at the moment I like going on holidays more !!
I don’t have cleaner these days but did when I worked full time before before having my family. Of course I HAD to tidy before she came haha but worth every penny.
