How do you dry your clothes during winter?
If it's not raining, we hang them outside, just like we do during the summer. 
It's great when you have where to put them outside ,but is difficult when you don't live in a house.
I have clothes horses. I've got 3. One of them is for over the bath I would not be with out them. I put the clothes horse in the room with fire is. And they dry very quick.ly. They came in all different size. My bathroom one cost Β£9.99 and my other two cost Β£14.99 each. Like I said I would not be with out them were I live in the highlands is not good. weather much of the time. And I could not afford to have a tumble dryer my friends have one and it cost her Β£5.00 to do a hours load. Way to dear for me. I do it the old fashion way. And it's the best way. 
I am really surprised to hear that and don't think your friend has got that right. No one would have one if that were true. I use mine a couple of times a week and that would cost Β£40 per month. My total bill for gas and electric throughout the year is only Β£90 per month and that includes central heating. An average dryer load used to cost about 50p per load but it may be a bit more now. I also have a dishwasher which is used every day.
About the highest price in the UK for electricity is 16p a kw/hr - the highest rated tumble dryer is about 2.5kw so the very most a tumble dryer should cost to run is about 40 pence an hour. The average price is worked out at approx 35p per hour. I think your friend might have got the decimal point in the wrong place.
It's possible she meant Β£5 a month (which would be about 1 hour every other day).
Having said that tumble dryers are one of the most expensive appliances to run per hour, so should be used with care.
As long as it is dry out , we peg them on the washing line. If it is tipping down or snowing etc we use the tumble dryer. We also use the radiators for small things during the winter as well because they are always on.
I hang it outside as long no rain to dry out a little bit then put it inside and it will be dry next morning.
It's a challenge when you have lots of clothes to dry during winter and no garden ..
We have a clothes horse. It is one that can be plugged in and heats up. We also use the radiators for things like towels. I have never actually plugged the clothes horse in to use the heated part as I find that the clothes dry quickly anyway, especially when the heating is on (even if it is just for an hour).
i use a tumble dryer 3 times a week and i only put 20 every 10 days in electric so whoever says it cost 5 quid a hour has deffo gt it wrong ... i wouldnt be without mine n half ur clothes dont need ironing when been in there plus no rough towels from hanging outside yukk lol
On the radiator with the heating on. Dries the clothes and warms the place up - 2 jobs done at once!! 
Well I always have at least 1 window open at least a small bit, so I have yet to experience any clothes-drying related mold.
On the veranda. I sometimes get the feeling the clothes are wet when it's actually that they're just cold.
