Co-Op Shopping
Money Saving
I know a lot of us are struggling with finding online shopping slots. I discovered the other day that if you have a Co-op nearby they will do a delivery and most times there's been a slot same day or at the latest next day. They're only doing up to 20 items and min £15 spend. (Also as a bonus went on today and they had a load of goodies at less than 50p. I reckon we got about £40 worth of shopping for £15)
I have been unable to get any type of click and collect or delivery slots from any supermarket so read your comment with interest. Went straight to the website only to get 'we're sorry this service is not available in your area'.
Looks like I will have to take the bull by the horn and actually go shopping soon.
Oh no. That's a shame. It's the only place we've been able to find and I've quite a few supermarkets within a 5 mile radius (don't drive to get to them)
That's a good alternative for anybody who can't get out or in the more vulnerable categories.
Here's the information for vulnerable people who need it:
The service is currently available in some areas of:
London
Bristol
Brighton
Manchester
Southampton
Bournemouth
The service will soon be available in more areas of Manchester and some areas of:
Leeds
Sheffield
Liverpool
Newcastle
Nottingham
Birmingham
Unfortunately this is not available in Scotland, although our local co-op is brilliant and would probably deliver if you asked. We have been lucky and managed to get a delivery and a click and collect from Tesco, but when we can't, my husband has been going to our local co-op or sainsbury local as not wanting to go into big stores.
Don't forget if you have a student discount card - Totum you also get 10% off shopping. My mum is over 65 but doing an Open University course and got a student discount card and just shows it when she does her shopping and gets 10% off. It's good for her as it's a smaller and local shop when she doesn't want to go far to say Tesco or a queue at a larger store.
