Best thing to do is every week or so, go into the bank, post office etc and ask them for £20 (or however much you can afford) in 50p coins.. that's what I done with the Olympic ones and managed to get a set in no time! 🙂

Other than that, just ask your friends or local shop to keep an eye out for you.

LittleLisaMarie I used to do that years ago until three of the big 5 banks worked out what I was doing and refused to change anymore £2 or 50p coins.

I love collecting the 50p coins but I don't have the time to go out and source them so I only collect them when it comes through the change I get. It's a nice surprise. Maybe you could look on fb for some coin swap groups if you use fb

Maybe a swear jar will help friends or family who accidentally swear could put 50p coins in the jar.

Does the royal mint not sell them ? We got our grandkids a grufallo 50p when they first came out from the Royal Mint. They were £10 each but came in a lovely display wallet.

While I don't collect coins, my dad does. I add £2 to a Coca Cola can every month and I'd really like to find €2 coins from Greece and Cyprus because those are quite valuable and somewhat rare.

I have seen a €1 Cyprus coin although that one doesn't really have a high value, just the standard.

We got our from the post office, we asked them to save them for us if someone brought one into the shop, I got 5 this way, along with the Olympics coins we needed

I work on a till and occasionally I might notice the odd one but haven’t had any for a while now. Get some change from your notes and ask for 50ps instead of £1. I’m sure they would give you some. No guarantee of collectibles though. My husband and I went somewhere and we got quite a few but that is rare.

I used to collect stamps and coins as a kid but have now given to my grandkids who aren't interested. However my recently born great Grandson will be the recipient of a Narnia coin I recently won and I will get him the Narnia books to go with it.

From time to time you can get a genuine seller on Ebay selling for few pounds. I bought some coins during pandemic for cheap
