Right I have been doing competitions on here for over 4 months and not won a single thing !!! Are there more people doing them because of lockdown or is there other sites worth trying.
The more competitions you enter the more likely you are to win. There are more competitions out there than just the ones posted on here. Might be worth looking on magazine competitions pages.
How many do you enter per day? Most serious compers do 30 to 100 a day, maybe more. I do at least 30 and my last small win was in April, some household cleaners.
Prior to that it was 4 or 5 months since I had won anything. When you consider how many enter each comp it is little wonder that wins are far and few between.
I started entering comps around the same time as you.I enter around 100-130 competitions a week, not as many as a lot of people, and I've won 2 prizes so far.Persistence is the key,and not getting disheartened when you don't win and giving up.
It does seem like you go ages until you win but I guess you just have to keep on trying. I think it was probably over a year before I had my first win. Try enter on more platforms if possible, I set up twitter and Instagram just to enter comps. Think how many thousands of other people you are up against! lol
I'd echo what others have said - enter as many as you can. Competitions with lots of smaller prizes or fewer entries will give you a better chance. I enter things for fun and to keep me busy. I never expect to win so I'm very happy if I do.
I used to enter a lot but too time consuming right now. With kids home all the time I'm run off my feet.
I prefer spending the time doing survey as you get a result
It really is down to pot luck. Was having regular wins last year & years before but dried up this year, so far. Just keep plugging away
I would suggest focusing more on the quality rather than the quantity. Whilst I do agree that to a certain extent you do have more of a chance at winning something the more comps you enter, you are still going to have a fairly slim chance at winning due to how easy many of those comps are to enter. I'd suggest focusing more on comps which require some effort as these attract less entrants, thus increasing your odds. Other types of competitions which seem to get less entrants include blog comps (Gleam and Rafflecopter) and comps with small prizes.
I definitely doing more now but I am in maternity leave and take so many freebies as well
