Favourite Concert Experience?

Whats everyone's favourite concert experience and who is your favourite person to go see live?
Oh my, going off subject but did you hear what he got his wife for her birthday? A talking hologram of her deceased father!
Surprisingly it was Rod Stewart, I don't particularly like him but bought tickets for my husband, who is a fan. We saw him in Hull I was surprised how many songs I knew & at the end there was fireworks. It was a great night.
Luckily I've seen most of the bands and artists that I like. Lots of great gigs. One that springs to mind was seeing Metallica playing at a Radio One exclusive gig in front only 300 people. They usually play arenas and stadiums and this was the smallest show they had played for many years.
I'm rather jealous of you seeing Metallica at such a small gig. I think the smaller gigs are often so much more fun than stadiums. We love Metallica in our house but none of us have had the joy of seeing them play live... yet.
Glitterandgold Hope you get to see Metallica live in the not too distant future. They are always a great live band.
I went to see bon Jovi for second time last year we was bit high up but great. Hoping to see 5SOS next year with my daughter
I've seen Bon Jovi twice as well. Way back In 1988 and 1989! The first at Birmingham NEC was my first "big' concert.
Favourite experience is probably Glastonbury a long muddy weekend focused on music. I saw Massive Attack in Hyde Park a few years ago. They were really good.
I really don't know because I've had memorable gigs for different reasons. Interviewing Moby for instance at The O2 Festival. That's not something I did every day. A unique and incredibly random gig I went to was Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince (yes, actual Will Smith), on a festival sized stage, in Blackpool. Favourite though... probably Faithless with my other half, Meatloaf with my Dad and various 80s bands (Tears For Fears, Spandau Ballet etc) with my Mum.
I do enjoy all the random little 90s gigs though. I've seen virtually all those old dance and pop artists from that era and they're all pretty humbled to still be working. Sonya turned up with her whole family in the car. They're all nice apart from The Vengaboys who are up their own arses but pretty good at what they do
Actually Duran Duran were amazing too, and Queen with Adam Lambert, and Lady Gaga!! Even Backstreet Boys with New Kids On The Block put on a good show. I don't know... I've seen Little Richard, Beach Boys, Gloria Gaynor, Starship, The Four Tops, Survivor and Chubby Checker too. I've not even mentioned all the DJs but Tiesto, Judge Jules - most of them, I've seen.
I'll say who I'd like to see instead. MJ - impossible even though I have a valid ticket. The Who - getting a bit old but I'm hopeful! Rolling Stones - they've already defied the odds so maybe there's a chance there.
My OH saw MJ on the dangerous tour. He didn't know they were going till he arrived in London. He still claims it was the best show ever. Not that he ever mentions it...
I wish i could bring back michael jackson, david bowie and freddie mercury for one hell of a concert.
Iβm going to top you all here........ I was at the original Live Aid!!! AMAZING! Words just canβt describe the most amazing event I have ever attended!!!
Yes. That's definitely a good one. I still get goosebumps when I see this and I only watched on TV.
Now that is cool. Queen - radio gaga at live aid gives me chills every time I watch. I imagine it was electric being there. My mum was a huge fan of Queen & freddy so I grew up on their music.
Hello fellow Live Aider 'I Was There' too I was middle right on the pitch. It was the best day ever, so many memories not just the music but the experience of being part of history but not knowing it. Still have my tshirt & ticket even the receipt for the tickets. Year after I saw Queen at Knebworth which has always been the best one off gig ive been too out of many. Live Aid will always top everything though
neo1 hi, itβs weird, considering the amount of people there, Iβve never met someone else that was there also!!! It was just the best wasnβt it! Do you remember the teddy being thrown in the air during the Madonna (on screen) performance, and the whole crowd roaring every time it was tossed up? The worse performance for me.... Adam Ant!!
Still the best ever event and well worth sleeping in a sleeping bag all night outside Piccadilly Records, Manchester to get our tickets!
MandeeMayson Hi Mandee, Ive met one person in real life who was there. Don't remember the teddy but do remember when Concorde made a surprise fly past with Phil on board, don't think anyone expected that as it wasn't announced. To be fair i enjoyed everyone, I was and am a Queen fan anyway so was blown away but I think Sting was great but i am a Police fan too. I remember so well how the atmosphere changed after The Cars video was shown, never seen so many people cry, the whole place went so quiet. The rain to cool us off when Elton and Kiki were on. Ive re watched it all so many times and never get bored, nothing will top it. A very special day and we are members of a very special club
Manic street preachers in Brighton. I have followed them since I was very young and didn't have the chance to see them in my home country, Spain. I hope can see them again.
When I was little and I went to a concert with blue, Britney, Shania and others. I could barely see so my brother put me on his shoulder and danced around so I was bouncing up in the air
I went to so many, so it's hard to choose.
I followed the Manic Street Preachers from the start. Richey Edwards spat water in my face in one of their first 'big' gigs at Cardiff university. Seems disgusting now, but it was a badge of honour at the time.
But I think the best gig was watching The Prodigy at the CIA in Cardiff.
And then there was The Happy Mondays at the NEC in Birmingham.
Oh dear, I could go on and on.
Has to be Pink by far! Singing hanging upside down , acrobatics in mid air! Was mind blowing
My favourite concert was Iron Maiden in Birmingham, 2018; it was Bruce's 60th birthday and we all sung Happy Birthday to him; it was an amazing show - flawless.
I saw the Newcastle show on the same tour. It was a masterclass in live performance. They are still at the top of their game.
I am lucky that I use to work at a big indoor arena for about 10 years so have seen most bands and solo artists numerous times over. Got to say Pink definitely puts on a good show, however the best concert has to be Rammstein... never even heard of them.. wow they know how to rock the place, what an atmosphere
Elton John last year. Had a eirie feeling that would be the last concert for a while. Elton was superb, played for hours without a break. Everyone was up dancing by the end....fantastic night
