Condiments You Couldnt Live without
Ask a Question
I have chilli sauces or chilli oils on everything, and I do mean everything - it may be deemed as disgusting, but I have been known to add chilli to desserts, with people trying after and actually agreeing it adds a bit of punch to the sweetness
do you have condiments that you love to put on anything and everything?
Sesame oil I love to dizzle this on chicken and pasta dishes the only thing I don't put it on is chips
I wouldn't put it on everything but I love Dijon mustard. It goes on chips, some meats, in my dressings, sandwiches etc.
Put on everything? No. But I couldn't live without pickles or chutneys. Chilli and brown sauce too (not together)!
Not on everything but there's nothing quite like the 'hit' of horseradish when mustard just isn't enough. I used to love Branston pickle on a roast so your chilli quirk is fine.
Soy sauce, sesame oil and chips wouldn't be the same without a generous amount of tomato sauce & vinegar
Oh yeah, vinegar on chips is a must! And I mix it with ketchup too, although sone places charge for ketchup, so I just have lots of vinegar instead
The only sauce I like is gravy, but I will only have that with roast dinners. I dont like any spices or other sauces, as you can imagine my food is very dry
Lol it’s probably the healthier way to eat. My brother doesn’t do sauces at all, so nothing on rice, nothing on meat, and nothing on chicken or turkey breast! I couldn’t do it - I need my sauces
hspexy lol! Yes I’m exactly the same as that. My Boyfriend will have curry sauce for example if I just have chicken and rice lol. We are complete opposites lol x
I take my first choice back - I thought we were going for unusual and I love horseradish.....but chips aint chips without vinegar!
Mustard, any type and I'll have it with most things. Burger sauce is also very nice but I save that for just burgers.
Well truth be told I could live without any of them but personally I have pepper on everything and love a bit of English mustard on roast meat, burgers and in ham and corned beef sandwiches.
Funnily enough, I never used to like mayo. But then I discovered aioli, which then get me into garlic mayo, and now I do like normal mayo - with chilli also
Love ground black pepper & use lots to season food. Same goes for chilli flakes as love tasty food
ivenailedit same here. I like my food with lots of seasoning, flavours and plenty of punch. I can’t eat bland food
Oh this is a great question. Besides the basics: salt, garlic and black pepper (I don't see a lot of white pepper in the UK) I like to use:
Rosemary when doing steaks, thyme (not me particularly, more like my bf), parsley, American BBQ seasoning. Regarding sauces: worcestershire, medium peri peri, ketchup and garlic
