How Do You Cope with Stress?

Ask a Question

I know the past year has been pretty tough on all of us and Ive picked up some different ways to calm down when I feel like im stressing out too much since normally I like to plan everything out rather than spontaneously doing things.

During lockdown i have picked up knitting and cross-stitching and I just feel like gives me enough time to calm down and just stop for a minute.

I ride the horse and take the dog for a walk or I sit and crochet as my friends daughter is expecting a girl next month so I am making her some cardigans and blankets Image so that keeps me busy

I've been doing meditation for around 3yrs now (not just for hippies!), I use the CALM app and do at least a 10min daily calm and it helps a lot.

My go to stress buster is walking. Always has been. Trouble is I sometimes walk for miles and then need someone to bring me home.

I struggle to de-stress. I stress at everything. My partner is the complete opposite. He soooo calm. That stresses me also. Then cause I'm stressed I get anxious. Then I end up having ba panic attack. I need to find something to help calm me.

ladybugncatnoir lockdown and everything has definitely made my anxiety worse. Saying that I liked it first lockdown when my local high street was quiet and enjoyed it being peaceful. But hated standing in the big queues. I would end up walking away. Home delivers became the norm. I just didn't want to go out, but had too to go care for my mum. Im trying to get back in to my drawing not so easy with the kids around though.
