Cosmetic Surgery
Ask a Question
would you or have you had cosmetic surgery? What are your thoughts? I think I am too scared of looking botched to attempt it even if money wasnt a consideration- although it would be nice to be better looking!
I haven't had it but I would if I needed to for medical reasons but for cosmetic reasons I would be the same as you worried about it going wrong.
To be honest you've only got to look at the 'celebs' who have had it to realise that, even if you are well off, not every procedure is an improvement. I refuse to name them but there are some very dodgy faces on the tv at the moment who, sadly, look like they've suffered strokes and allergic reactions.
So, so true. Some are pictured with before and after pictures, and in my humble opinion the before pics are always better.
I think some of the famous stars faces shows the result of these surgeries....I think they look worst than if they would accept ageing...they really turn into horror faces. Can not move their muscles...etc...What a damage.
Hard for the younger generation these days as all we see over social media is all the pretty girls and guys that have the 'perfect face' or 'body' and we don't see much of those who are larger bodies and individuals that are embracing their differences and their individuality maybe then the younger generation will be saving money on cosmetic procedures
No. I'd see that as a waste of money.
This reminds me of a Chinese woman who had a plastic surgery to look pretty, then when she and her husband had a child he sued her 'cause the kid came out ugly. Besides, more often than not plastic surgeries make people look awful and age faster.
Portia de Rossi (from Arrested Development) looked beautiful in her natural state but after the plastic surgery, she sorta gained a doll-like look.
Here's Ariana Grande. If you didn't know any better, you'd think the girl on the left would be someone else.
There are far, far worse plastic surgeries and when they try to fix it, it likely just gets even worse.
I wouldn't say no, especially if it’s something that may give me piece of mind. I’ve had friends who have had surgery and it’s made them less self conscious - nothing extreme, just fixing teeth, straightening noses, one boob job (different people, not the same person)
I've had a mole removed from my face which apparently counts according to my doctor. I've a family member who has had a lot of surgery on her face: removing eye bags went well for her and looks good but an attempt at Botox gave her big headaches. I also know someone had lip and eyebrow tattoos. I could't really tell much difference with those - not sure if that's a waste of money or just a really well done bit of work!
I’m too worried about it going wrong and also think where do you stop? the temptation would be too much to then ‘fix’ something else!
