Got ours from Asda. Was £40. Really good quality. If you have any friends with wee ones you could always ask them.

Yes I think £40 is the going rate for a cod bed mattress. There are lots that are much more expensive. It is just not worth it. Just imagine the feeling if you bought a £130 eve mattress and the baby gets sick all over it.

jmsonl waterproof mattress protectors are a must with babies! But I agree I wouldn't pay more than £50.

jmsonl 😂 my son is only 6 months, but he has never really been a pukey baby. He was sick once or twice when he was put onto his high calorie formula as he wasn't used to it, but he has never been sick in his cot. Instead it has always been over me!

I bought mine from Argos for £50 if I remember correctly, I would recommend buying spring mattress as it offers more support than the foam one. It's good if the mattress have removable cover that can be washed or you can buy waterproof mattress protectors, they are around £5-10...

I purchased mine from Very and went for the silver cross true fit - it has square corners which is safer in my opinion

Its a lot of money but i got it on buy now pay later and i wouldnt want a cheap mattress or have to buy twice

My 1st born had a mother care one that lasted a good 3/4 years

I would say if you can afford a decent one go for it they will last well, plus they have washable covers

Its also handy to layer your sheets or use a protective sheet

x

This is just my opinion from experience hope it helps x

I think because the baby do not weight a lot, it does not matter if the mattress is tick or expensive. You will only use it maximum for 3 years, but I would say till 2 years and than you can get a big bed.

I think it good to get a cheaper mattress, maximum £60, sometimes there are great offers on Amazon and than get some waterproof mattress protectors, if the nappy leaks that is great, you just can change it. Also you will need sheets.
