And the couple have found the most unique way to celebrate the end of the year – by hosting a medieval-style dinner served on wooden boards and slate slabs with mulled wine and ale from flagons and goblets as an annual tradition - https://metro.co.uk/2018/12/31/couple-spend-5000-turning-ordinary-dining-room-medieval-banquet-hall-8293202/
In the past I've read about other obsessed fans decorating their homes to match their favourite TV or film show/hobby/period in time, such as someone turning a room into the bridge of USS Enterprise from Star Trek.
If you were going to go a little crazy what theme would you choose?
I may go with Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory
I would have an Outlander themed room. I have a little reading corner in my dining room with a reclining chair covered in a tartan throw and an Outlander cushion, bought for me by my darling granddaughter who also loves Outlander. I would love a picture of a wooded mountainous scene to go on the wall and I could imagine it would be Fraser's Ridge, more so if it had a log cabin. I draw the line at a stag's head though. Bagpipes and swords, dirks etc on the wall and everyone would have to wear a kilt! I am a bit lazy so would not go to too much trouble for one night, it would be bad enough having to do all the food.
