Ask a Question
How do you plan your meals christmas day? we have an early breakfast with some fizz then open some presents, then a huge walk to get extra hungry as we have three courses. What do you all do?
We have Croissants and Bucks Fizz for breakfast.
Followed by a nice dog walk and some present opening.
Then Christmas Dinner around 2pm, then a couple of hours slobbing out/filling the dishwasher.
Then it's usually various board games in the evening.
Love how we all differ and yet so much is familiar across families at christmas....Have a wonderful Christmas
I have children and because it’s Christmas they always insist on eating the sweets they have got then at lunch time we have the whole 3 course usually Christmas dinner then turkey sandwiches or cheese and crackers for dinner because we are still normally full
As the years have gone by it has got smaller for me I am 47 but still watch Christmas cartoons in the morning it's just me and my hubby this year, only doing the turkey dinner, we are off to butlins Christmas fantasy on Monday till the Friday which I am so looking forward to, which we do every year
When the kids wake up they open their stockings on our bed which we put chocolates and sweets in along with other little bits & bobs. Then one of the adults will come down to check if santas been (make coffee ) then the kids come down and open their presents and eat the sweets and chocolate. Then we go to my parents open presents there and have xmas dinner (we used to do prawn cocktail for starters but stopped when i became allergic to seafood ). My mum does turkey, beef, pork, sausage meat, pigs in blanket, stuffing, yorkies and all the veg. Then we have a range of deserts - homemade trifle, chocolate gateau, strawberry cheesecake etc. Then we play games together and have more chocolates, sweets and snacky food. Then we go to the inlaws for the remainder of the evening for more presents and chocolate. Boxing day we go back to my mums and have leftovers
We dont have breakfast on Christmas day. We tend to just pick at Christmas snacks if hungry, We have 3 courses for dinner. Starter is prawn cocktail. Dinner is Duck, Pork, Stuffing, Pigs in blankets, Yorkshires plenty veg & lots of wine. Dessert is Christmas or chocolate pudding or Trifle. After I will walk the dog on my own as other half has a nap & kids faff with there new gifts etc. Then in the evening we all watch tv together, play some games & enjoy some drinks. Boxing day we all have a lie in to recover then head to my in laws in the afternoon for much of the same.
My 'boys' breakfast on selection boxes, both old enough to know better.lol then just lunch with all the trimmings, and maybe a breather before christmas pud.

If we are at our house then we don't bother with breakfast, then we open our presents, some tv, then we have our Christmas lunch, then desert and later on we eat sweets.
We are at mums this year, so she normally makes scrambled eggs for breakfast, then we open presents, then some tv, this year I'm taking our some out to feed the sheep in the field opposite her house, then soup to start, then Christmas dinner, then desert and sweets or snacks later.
