COVID Babies
Ask a Question
Has anyone given birth under the current COVID restrictions and can share any advice? First baby no idea what to expect. Thanks in advance!
I did in August so not full lockdown but I expect the restrictions are the same. Only my husband was allowed to visit, nobody else at all including my other children. No restrictions on birthing partner during the time I was in the delivery suite. 9am to 6pm visiting from my husband once on the ward.
All hospitals are different though so check the website for yours. Covid cases have always been low where we are so they aren't quite as strict as other places.
Not really covid baby related but trust your instincts you will get lots of unhelpful advice to figure out what's best for your family you need to believe in yourself
Good luck
My brother's girlfriend just had her baby. He had to wait in waiting room until she was going to have the baby. He just got in as baby being delivered. Don't know what happened afterwards. He says he wasn't happy as he felt he was being treated like a leaper. I said they were just keeping themselves safe. But he just moaned.xx
The stay in Kent. So I don't know what hospital. I live in Scotland so don't know the hospitals down there.x
It is such a hard time to give birth. I feel sorry for the fathers as well who couldn't be there to see their babies born during the lockdowns
