My COVID Pass is Only Valid 2 Days
Ask a Question
Can anyone help my daughters COVID pass is only valid for 2 days mines a month .she’s 25 had both her COVID jabs more than 14 days ago so why is hers only for 2 days ????? She never been for a pcr test and never had COVID all she has done is home lateral flow tests
You say you work in the system ? As I read it the "barcode" has an expiry date (mine's next month ) not the vaccination (had both a few months back ) . I presume the barcode will be updated once the powers that be decide how long the vaccination will be valid for ?
Perhaps you would be better off asking the question at work , I'm sure that would be a better way to find out ?
I would sincerely hope that someone in the hospital would know ? HR? , Admin ? I know the NHS are busy but it would seem (to me ) outrageous if there were no one at work to answer your question . I didn't realise there was a "Covid pass " department in the NHS . But if there is it would seem ridiculous that staff in other departments don't have easy access to it .
Golfforall and I’m at home and I asked a question on a ask the question site thank you
Aenurse1 Maybe if you can't get the answer at work you should google it , as I have done - perhaps on the Covid 19 https://www.gov.uk/ site ? The rest of us not in the NHS have to . The "barcode expiry" will update each time you log in .
In any event I would seriously question my superior into why I was unable to get this (possibly vital) information at work ?
Trust me , it is never a good idea to get important information from a Shopping site - you will get 20 different answers . Most of which , though well meant , will be totally wrong .
Aenurse1 No problem , always glad to help or at least point members towards where they can find the facts .
This might explain, although I can't understand why this is titled "My Covid Pass" When you go on to say it's your daughter's. I can only guess you forgot "Daughter's" between "My" and "Covid",
How long a digital NHS COVID Pass is valid for
If you've had:
- a vaccine used in the UK – your NHS COVID Pass lasts for 30 days, but the 30 day period refreshes every time you log in
- a negative PCR test or rapid lateral flow test – your NHS COVID Pass is valid for 48 hours after a negative result
- a positive PCR test – your NHS COVID Pass lasts 30 days, but the 30 day period refreshes every time you log in (for up to 180 days after you took the test),
FROM https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/get-digital-covid-pass/
So your daughter's pass is only valid for 48 hours because it was obtained by a negative lateral flow test.
Must say I'm confused as to why someone can get a pass AFTER a POSITIVE PCR test. (but that's what it says).
