Would you Help research a vaccine to protect each other and prevent more cases.
If you take part in this trial, you may receive:
Investigational vaccine or placebo
A seasonal influenza vaccine for select patients
Reimbursement for reasonable travel expenses if selected to participate
You may be eligible to participate if you:
18 to 84 years of age
At normal or high risk for COVID-19 infection
I don't think I would volunteer. I get the impression they're rushing to make a Covid vaccine, and I'd have concerns about safety.
No, thanks. I second what angelik just said. Too many concerns about the safety of the vaccines and I share the concern that the scientists are rushing. Also, I would expect that if someone were asking me to do a job with so much risk involved, they would pay more than just travel expenses!
We all recieved an invite letter for this today. My answer: No thanks. For the same reasons already stated. I don't fancy being a Guinea pig.
I definitely wouldn’t risk it. I have been involved in medical trials previously, but not for life threatening illnesses. A person on a Covid trial in Brazil has just died. I think there is too much emphasis, both politically and financially, to produce a vaccine quickly. We don’t want to end up in a Thalidomide situation down the line.
I am sorry to say that I don't think I'd be confident enough to go through it. But a very well done to all of those who do and best of luck. x
All you get is a reimbursement of travel expenses?
There's absolutely no chance that anyone would go for this.
They are paying Track & Trace people in Pembrokeshire £14 an hour. That seems a much better deal.
