What is the current highest love score?

Deals

So come on, I am curious as to what has achieved the highest love score since the site was created? Anything above 100?

I tend to post deals after midnight, so by the time people wake up and use the site during the day, most of my deals have fallen off the cliff and into oblivion. But I was lucky in love, I got divorced in the first year and love being single instead.

CashoutCarl Even though that's true the deals always help someone out there. Latest Deals has a lot of silent/guest users.

Rockman True mate, scores mean nothing to me, just asking to make conversation. I just like to share any good deals I find, may help someone looking for that thing at that moment in time and save them a few quid.

This one has a fair few: https://www.latestdeals.co.uk/deals/dominos-pizza-discount-codes-latestdealscouk

After Tom was all over the press with the Domino's tool quite a few people found LD, searched for dominos, discovered that post and gave it a like!

A confusing series of events given most of the press articles linked directly to the Dominos Pizza Voucher tool 😄

Tom Kelsey I tried the Doms tool for TS1 area but it did not recognise it, this was a couple of weeks ago. Did that mean no codes available or an error?

CashoutCarl could be either - do a full post code and if yours doesnt work, try the post code of your nearest store

Tom Will do mate, my address is only a few hundfred yards from the store so assumed it would pick it up but will do the test, maybe later as a little drunk tonight, too much beer from the Sainsbury's local offer I came across. ;)

Tom I checked the post code of the store and it worked fine. However I only live a few hundred metres from the store and my street postcode brings up nothing. Maybe on the tool page it would be beneficial to tell users to use the store postcode if their own postcode comes up blank.

This Boots clearance sale one did quite well earlier in the year - https://www.latestdeals.co.uk/deals/when-does-the-january-2017-boots-70-off-sale-start-boots

Wow that was a large score for when the website was in infancy. I would have expected more to follow suit now it is a few months later. Maybe we are just all pants at finding deals rather than the site not progressing, lol. I am sure it is the former. ;)

Talking of vote/scores, Tom , Kelsey did you know the other site gave different voting power to its users? In the new layout mods and some VIPs have up to 30x vote power over a newly joint user. Other users are also being given a value between 1 to 15 (new layout; old layout was up to 6x for the maximum). This way they always look popular. Is this anything you could possibly consider at some point? Obviously a deal here with 155 votes is equal to 155 individuals vote but over there a deal with 200 votes somtimes has had as much as 30-35 people voting on the deal.

mixmixi Really? That's a terribly broken system then. Not to mention it already was before as people abused to downvote deals either because they didn't like the user, just wanted to downvote or wasn't of their interest - None of which are good valid reasons to downvote a post.

I'm glad that system doesn't exist here. One either votes up or doesn't, simple.

I didn't know that was the case, interesting to know, thank you. Before Latest Deals, Kelsey experimented with a weighted system on Pedlar (the beta of Latest Deals, if you like), so we're always open to ideas.

Read up yesterday that users can now change usernames' on that website which was entirely impossible before and one of the reasons I left them.

Rockman Really? Wow, that will be so confusing, one day I will be talking to Rockman, then next DonaldRonald will be chatting about our conversation last week and I will be like "uh? who are you?"

Established users having more voting power is not a bad thing to counter against spam members signing up to downvote things, as long as the power they have is reasonable, one vote adds 3 score or something. But as this system is only additional with no down votes I think having everyone on a level field gives a true reflection of the deals value.

Just to add on to that, it is in the pipeline that all newcomer's first deals will be put into a moderation queue. This should help stop future spam / self-promotion, and also give us some time to help new members polish their first posts.

Hi Tom & Kelsey there's a user who spammed on the comment section of CashoutCarl and coincidentally broke the limits of how long a comment can be. Please check the link below.
