A Small Cut While Clipping His Nails Almost Killed This Dad
In the News
Who would have thought a small nick when cutting your nails could be life threatening ?
It happened to this man from kent when he developed sepsis and ended up in intensive care for 5 days
He made a full recovery but it did leave him with flashbacks because of this
So take care when trimming your nails and don't trim them too close to your skin

I can believe this even our local doctors surgery the nursing team are not allowed to cut toe nails.
I can actually believe this tbh, not many people probably would but cutting your nails can actually go wrong if not careful
KateGriff169 As i mentioned above K it might be a good idea to always make sure the clippers are clean , either washed or cleaned with alcohol
People with diabetes are usually advised to get their nails cut by a nurse just in case this happens
hspexy ...I used to care for someone with Dibetes who had their toenails cut by a trained Nurse..
When I came for my Afternoon shift everytime his feet ended up bandaged when she had been in the morning !!
This is especially important if you have Diabetes. I have an ingrown toenail which was causing a problem so went to a professional. Whether by accident or not he drew blood. He applied antibiotic cream and dressed it but I must admit I haven't been back. A lovely lady in a chemist gave me advice which I now follow.
Mr T has diabetes and after I have done his toe nails the scissors and nail file go in the dishwasher!
I'm always a bit gung ho when I cut my nails.I have drawn blood more than once but my reflexes are good Thank God.
