Daftest Thing You've Done

Ask a Question

Weird topic I know. Whats the daftest or strangest thing you have done? I only went and gave my boyfriend a Valentines day card today as a Christmas card, trust me not to read the middle of the card. It took my other half pointing it out for me to realise I need to start reading cards before signing my name.

The list is too extensive to write before bedtime! I'll just say that many of my daftest things have been due to me scan reading or 'scan listening' ... and I don't learn!!!

When I was a very young new housewife I cooked a chicken with the giblets still inside! For those too young to remember the innards of a chicken were put in a plastic bag inside the chicken and had to be removed before cooking. They were used to make stock, gravy or maybe pet food.

Recently I made cupcakes and forgot to put the sugar in, they were disgusting so had to throw away.

I will probably remember much more and come back to this lol.

DavidBridgman My ex cut the top of his thumb off with a table saw. My mum had to retrieve it before my dog ate it 😳😳😳😳

DavidBridgman my son sliced the top of his finger off with a piece of metal at work. By the time they stitched it back together it was too late and it fell off a few weeks later, Uch was horrible

As soon as I hit post on previous comment I remembered how stupid I was just yesterday!

As many know I had a car accident on 11th and on 15th a courtesy car, 70 reg, was delivered. I was a bit windy to use it, not the actual driving but scared of it getting scratched etc. I finally plucked up courage yesterday and got the key, except it wasn't a key and I was flummoxed as to how I start the car. After phoning grandson who has same car I realised it was push button start but then I couldn't get it in reverse to leave my drive. The company had said it was a push down gear stick for reverse but no...it wouldn't have it. Finally phoned grandson who explained it was a silver collar under the knob that you squeeze up as you move the stick!

He had a good laugh at me ranting about why they can't make simple cars for simple old grannies. πŸ˜‚

I ran myself over with my own audi 😭😭😭 not funny at the time. Long story short I didn’t put the hand brake on properly and tried to stop it rolling down the brae. Ended up under the car after the front tyre ran over my legs, luckily I was the only one hurt
