Today is 6 Month to Christmas Are You Getting Ready for It?

Hi all hope you are all keeping well and in enjoying this lovely weather. I was just wondering if you are going to start your Christmas shopping. I've started. Because I got a feeling that we will be in another lock down over Christmas. I all ready got some great deals on hear. So by September I should be all finish . Then I will start on the food. So if lock down comes I am all ready for it. What will you be doing will you start and do you think we will be in lock down over Christmas.
I have bought a number of things during lockdown as presents, Iv gotten some great deals on jewellery for my friend & sisters during lockdown that I'm over the moon with. I always aim to finish my Christmas shopping by October, Then I can enjoy the run up to it more. Whether we will be in lockdown again remains to be seen, I hope not. I do wonder if we will see many Christmas Markets this year? I suspect not.
I'm starting to save up for it and to look at what to get for people. Our sons birthday is in the November so we tend not to go overboard for either. I like to have it all done by the end of November if I can and then I just need to think about the food.
I don’t tend to start until September/October, I pick things up if I see them throughout the year but don’t actively start looking till then. For people who do theirs early, where do you keep it all?
I've got my list ready and started saving for my son's more expensive presents but haven't bought any smaller ones yet. However I will be doing. I agree with other posters that we might have another lockdown/wave so want to get ahead of myself. I've bookmarked a few things on here that have my interest and will be starting properly come pay day on Tuesday
I bought some Christmas cards in the sales at the end of 2019. But, given how events have turned out this year I haven't given the 25th December any thought
I’ve no intention of starting anytime soon. I usually only buy early if I see something that I know that receiver will love and won’t see it anywhere else.
I always try and get Christmas presents before October so they aren't sold out for my nephews and nieces and then get a couple more bits at the start of December so I can go shopping and have a girls weekend with my best friend while shopping for my family etc. I think its easier to shop earlier because you don't have to compete to land the products like at Christmas, its much more peaceful if you are organised and make sure you don't miss anyones gift early so you have time to enjoy Christmas!
I feel like I should be getting ready now as I’m pregnant and due at the end of September, I usually start my Christmas shopping around then to spread the cost but I feel I might be a bit busy with a newborn... I have no idea what to buy anyone this year though and it’s too hot outside to feel festive
I passed by this topic first time as I hadn't thought about Christmas. However, the other day one of my favourite brands was selling their goods with 30 to 50% off and I ordered gifts for two sons, two DILs and 2 grandchildren, they are now wrapped and labelled and in spare room. I already have gifts for friends that I got in sales pre covid so I am all done and dusted!
I've already got cards, paper and tags. I always get them after Christmas when cheap. My youngest has started asking for things but I tend to wait until after all my kids birthday last one is October to buy things. Unless I spot the perfect present at the perfect price
