Hopefully they will be open, it's a great day out and I'm sure that they have social distancing rules in place to keep you safe

They are restricting the numbers and you need to book to visit even with a voucher still. People I know who have been said it’s not very good at the moment as you can’t go to the indoor areas so I would probably wait until you may be able to do a little more as a lot of the zoo is inside. We love the bird area and the jaguars with the sloth just before!

Imnotcheap yes I would wait it’s a great full on day out. We have been going to Knowsley safari a bit - that's great even if cooler weather as you are in the car but I will be in local lockdown and not allowed out if my area from 6pm Thursday so won’t be going for a while which is sad but necessary

Not Chester but we went to Edinburgh zoo a couple of weeks ago. I suspect it would likely be similar procedures in place. We had to book in advance online. Some inside areas were open but only too limited numbers at one time. Masks had to be worn inside & all social distancing was being enforced by staff. There was anti bac available at all entrys & exit points throughout the site. Aside from if taking longer to get around than typical it was a good day.

Please try to support the zoos if you can everybody. Everything is restricted everywhere so it's a way of life. Half the attraction is walking around the outdoor areas. Chester Zoo were weeks away from shutting down recently. I know they're not the only establishments suffering but considering all the work they do behind the scenes for conservation, it would be awful if they had to close.
