Game of Thrones actor Hafthor Bjornsson has set a world deadlifting record by lifting 501 kg (1,104 lbs) - not bad for someone who previously won the World's Strongest Man competition in 2018.
Do you deadlift? How much can you do? I’ve been told most should be able to do at least your own weight...not sure I can do that, as I’m unable to even do a chin up
he beat the previous record holder by 1kg! crazy how heavy these guys can lift. I can do double my weight, with training, but they are next level
The ‘Mountain’ is 31 height 2.05m/6’9” and weight 205kg/452lb lifts 501kg/1104lb
My OH is 63 height 1.77m/5’10” and weight 84kg/185lb and lifts 170kg/375lb - think he’s doing ok.
Wow your OH is strong! That’s an impressive amount to deadlift! I’ve tried so many times to get into weight training but I’ve always preferred cardio
Johnny You're obviously the only one who actually reads nobody else noticed the typo. He is 5'10 (I'll stick to 'old' money)
CRT or Slim? I doubt you'd be able to lift a Samsung HD CRT TV (I can't it's too much for me). Those things are ridiculously heavy, but great for older devices.
PhilipMarc I wouldn't able to walk today if I'd tried to lift a CRT TV. Those things just before LCD became the norm were insanely heavy as you say!
