Deadly Portuguese Man o' War Jellyfish Now on British Shores

You now need to be extremely careful when swimming in the sea

Although the summer is over, some people brave the water for sport like surfing and other activities , and they may be back next summer

These colonial hydrozoans are made up of small individual animals called zooids , so not exactly jellyfish, but more deadly, they can give a nasty sting and can cause death in some cases due to breathing difficulties

The tentacles can grow up to 160 feet in length

Not to be messed with
