How to Deal with Annoying Members?

There are 3 very annoying ladies those always come on my posts to tell me off. I have muted them but still they find me please tell me how to get rid of them? I come here to enjoy my time not to get unwanted lectures.

With respect, if three people are ‘telling you off’ about your chat posts you need to look at what it is you’re doing that annoys them. They are probably trying to help you, rather than lecture you - and you are probably annoying a whole lot more people too!
Generally with newbies to LD it’s one or more of the following actions in 'Chat' that annoys the more established users:
- Duplicating topics that have already been posted.
- Discussing politics or religion (that’s been banned).
- Asking a question where you could have easily found the answer yourself by doing a quick search on Google.
- Starting a chat post, but then not bothering to respond to the comments other people make about your topic.
- Copying and pasting content from other sites (such as news) without stating (or linking to) the original source, and without sharing your own opinion about what you’re posting, or making any comment on it yourself. Everyone has access to the news already, so if you post a news item on LD it's basic netiquette to explain why you’re posting what you’re posting.
- Posting dull stuff without making any effort. Stuff like ‘Do you prefer cats or dogs?, Jam or marmalade?' etc. which make the Chat section very dull to scroll through, and encourages even more similar posts that are more suited to Facebook.
- Obviously posting chat threads just to earn points, i.e. gaming the system and exploiting LD and its members for your own benefit.

Hi Johnny I know I am one of those 3 ladies but in all honesty I have never been rude or offensive to anyone on here except in self defence. You have worded your comment beautifully and I am sorry that the lady has taken gentle criticism amiss. Several topics have been 100% cut and paste with no input from the poster. If these things cannot be pointed out without being taken badly then it is a type of censorship and it would appear the person is offended because they realise it is not right.
You are always the voice of reason and I hope you continue to contribute in this way.

AmazingPerson I'm new here also but I have noticed you've posted several 'chats' and not joined in the conversation. The idea of a post is to 'chat' or ask advice not throw in a quote or question and then leave. Oops that will be me muted

I don't use FB and never have.
What 'specific FB group' are you refering to above?
Or are you making false accusations?
I am not sure why you would want to block me for taking time out to try to help you.
You don't understand the MUTE function (You're not the first or only one) - if you mute a person it only stops you seeing their comments - it DOES NOT stop them seeing or commenting on your topic or comments. (but you can't see them)

In my opinion the MUTE/BLOCK system on LD is not fit for purpose, it does not help any person wishing to avoid confrontation.
If you wish to know how to UNBLOCK - just ask. I know it can be difficult if you can no longer see the comments of those you've blocked.
I find this strange. I know that I'm one of the muted ladies, but I very rarely come to the chat section anymore, so I can't be a repeat offender. I stopped reading the chat section because it was getting boring due to the type of posts that I was complaining about and some of the others listed in Johnny's post.
I don't see how the original poster can expect me to scroll by posts I'm not interested in but not expect themselves to scroll by comments they're not interested in.
I've found with muting that whilst you can not see their posts, they can see yours still. A system were if you block someone they can not see you and you can not see them would be better in my humble opinion.
ShellyAnn I agree that a mute system where you could remain hidden from other individuals would be better (I did at one time think that's how it worked) But problems are caused either way, best, in my opinion, to just try to ignore instead of muting.
davidstockport I don't have anyone muted now. I wonder how many have muted me incase I bring hair metal back up again. LOL!
Hi AmazingPerson : because of only a little advice for please edit a link I been through all day in destress .i have to tell my husband full story they seen and read every one comments then they decided three of us was just helping you but you took it seriously after this comment I will never try to comments in your questions in my life .we are happy family I never been through these kind of things in my life just wants to say I am sorry if I wrote anything wrong in my both comments good luck : And I am having treat from my husband they taking me out for meal I am happy now life never stop sometimes we all have to face these kind of problems every sad story has happy endings good bye

Loislane Been rebuilding my garage roof a few disasters with the weather unforftunately but thankfully I canfix just about anything for nothing with my wheeler dealer skills haha
Got my 100,000 points and ma £50 voucher and a bit bored with the auld grannies on here especially when they get all butthurt and threaten you with violence haha in their dreams...
In short doing a lot more things more productive with my time i have been off the internet for a while trying to avoid it as it sucks a lot of your time when you sit down and start surfing you know what its like you find one site then see an interesting link then click and before you know it you have spent 5 hours studying Scotty Kilmer car mechanics, Big clive electronics and those Urban adventurers so dont use facesplat, twatter or instafanny anymore trying to do more productive stuff like retrieving my quadcopter from 50 foot oak trees, metal detecting and just booked a rather interesting Nile Cruise to the pyramids and wall city of Petra got it for £450 reduced from £1600 because of this coronavirus nonsense - some amazing deals around now and those shares look ripe for the picking when this is all over so yeah been doing a lot of different things!
Just got a Siemens steam oven off Gumtree for FREE - Amazing what some rich folks throw out its almost new and worth £1300 but they just gave it away so plumbed it in this morning and looking forward to my first Slovakian steamed buchty haha

Loislane Will do i am off to grate a load of lemons i have had in the freezer - good tip if you want to make Chinese Lemon chicken or Thai Lemon curries stick those used Lemon halves in the freezer makes them so much easier to grate and the lovely smell of Lemon infusing the hoose its my fave smell and fruit!

Some people on here are really rude it was a joke between me and him I'll remember next time not to bother to write on chat anymore so thanks for making me feel like crap cheers for that especially somone with mental health issues hope makes you proud I don't have friends etc so was trying having a laugh and joke isn't that what chat for for people try get on and not be always so serious sorry but yes you have your opinion I understand that but still was harsh I come here to enjoy deals bargains freebies and comps and yeah join chat but now feel like getting rid of my account so people should think before they write some comments life to short you have no idea how you could make somone feel
