Should Deal Posts Include Postage?

Ask a Question

Should deals include postage to accurately show how much it's going to cost?. Sometimes it's aggravating to click through what looks like a fab deal only to find out it costs an extra fiver to post it!

I feel the same way and try to give as many delivery'postage options on the deal as I can. I don't want to get excited about a super low priced item, only to find a high postage charge. I want to be able to see it all before I decide to go direct to the site. I've even started to put sizes available at the time of posting because I get so disappointed, when I'm looking, to find the stockist never had my size left to begin with.

It should definitely be mentioned about pause and the sizes and very useful when the sizes are mentioned specially if they are limited.

Yes limited sizes and postage information is something I always add to my deal posts. Yet I do find sometimes I click on a deal to then find postage on the website. The worst is when something is 79p and you click to find £3.99 postage on top. It may be helpful to force deal posters to add this information. Although if I was running a site like LD I could imagine having such a conversation and not wanting to do this as it may put of people posting when having too much to fill in. Maybe if we and the users see such an issue we should all make a concerted effort to politely ask the poster to edit it. Anyone could accidentally made a mistake and missed such information. I am sure I have made such a mistake unintentionally in the past.

The "freebie" ones that you click on, then find out you have to pay like £3 postage are the ones that annoy me the most haha!

If you ever see this please report it as missing info and type the delivery charge.

We will then amend the post to include it.

If there's a delivery charge it's great practice and very helpful to state what it is in the description of the post.

Yes. I mention it on the deals I post, if necessary.

Free should mean completely free and if included postage then those sharing the finds should state it more clearly to avoid confusion

I dont think it should be added to the item price per se as if you are buying a few bits the delivery cost is shared across everything but it absolutely should be put clearly in the post its really frustrating when you see a great deal and like you say the postage is 💩

Maybe there could be a button when we’re filling in the deal form, that says “tick if postage is included or excluded” 🤔 some people have no issue paying postage, especially on freebies but I resent paying it for anything when so many companies will offer free delivery... I’m one of those people who will make a £10 order up to £50 if it means I save £3.99 on postage 🤣
