What is the Deal with Yankee Candles?

Ask a Question

I love a good candle with a nice smell at home. I often see "deals" for Yankee Candles and they still look over priced.

Please educate me and tell me why these are so popular and why I should try one.

It's a fact of life, the greater the demand, the greater the cost. And as something becomes popular everyone wants it. I am bought them for gifts but won't buy myself........I find them not very strong smelling.

I’ve had Yankee Candles as gifts before and love the smells but just can’t justify spending that much on a smelly candle !! I’m very happy to recieve them as gifts though 😊

They smell amazon and they have a lot of burn time. Cheap ones tend to burn a lot quicker. You end up spending more on the cheap ones as you need more, where as the Yankee ones last up to 15 hours. And I find the cheap ones last only a couple of hours.

You can pick a small votive one up for about a £1 in asda, or homebargains ect, you should try one x

TK MAXX has very nice candles....Sand and Fog is a great brand with nice natural scents, but also the store has lot of other big brands cheaper, so worth to have a look.

I do not like Yankee candles, I did buy some tea light ones, but they have artificial scents and I like more natural ones....made with essential oils instead of artificial oils.

Thanks for the replies so far. I guess when someone asks me what I want for a present I could get a small one to try out. I have just always avoided them due to the cost and have never come across one in someones house. For me it always depends on the smell, many I don't like.
