December Wages

Ask a Question

Did you get your December wages early or are you going to have to wait it out til the very end ?

Are you okay for January or do you think it's going to be an extra tight month to budget on?

We get paid on 15th of each month so not long to wait for next one. I don't mind being paid mid month as I am very careful with money and always make sure there is enough in account to cover direct debits etc before dividing the rest into 4/5 depending on weeks in the month. I never spend more than that in any one week and at end of month usually have some left over.

As a self employed old geezer I never know when my wages are going to be paid ( especially in the Winter ) however I haven't starved yet . It's amazing what you can find to eat ... Image

I get paid between 19th-22nd usually and it bothers me every year! I’m very sensible with money but it never lasts long enough to get through january 😫

December's wages are late for me , normally paid last day of the month, but December's will be paid on the 4th January, not to bothered as at least I know and it 's still in time to pay all the bills and direct debits.

Get paid day early won’t be effected because we put bills money away month in advance so Thursday pay will cover February bills

My husband was paid early this month. It won't affect our monthly expenses as we always have money left over every month, which is a good thing as this month the TV broke, the cooker broke, our light fixture on the ceiling has come away so needs fixed and husbands MOT and service is due start of January! Good thing we have savings, we will need some of them!

Nadiaparveen if we didn't have savings and couldn't afford it then we could have managed without the cooker as we have an air fryer and slow cooker and could have gotten a cheap TV off fb but the light fixture could become dangerous if not fixed and the car needs an MOT! So glad we are sensible and save each month.

To be honest to be skint after Christmas you need to be 1 of the not buy the odd present throughout the year but wait till December payday to pay for everything . We didn't get paid earlier and the nice bit is we still have money to spend .

I get paid on the last day of the month, you can ask for an salary advance at the beginning of the month and they pay you two weeks salary mid December. I did it once, when I was younger, but never again, as January was a very long month that year.

January always seems to be a month that I never seem to have much cash. Despite buying things throughout the year, whenever I see a bargain. It's all those last minute treats 🙂

Me and my wife get paid separately, she gets paid at the end off the month, and I get paid fortnightly, so what we do is pay all the bills at the beginning of the month with both our wages combined, then when I get paid again in the middle, we just have to pay the council tax, weekly shop, car petrol, and whatever our two kids need. We do manage to put a bit aside for rainy days or just savings for our mot's as they can be about £600.
