Deliveroo pricing...

Ask a Question

I noticed with both Deliveroo and UberEats that the takeaway prices are generally so much more expensive than ordering direct with the restaurant that even when you have a voucher for money off, you don’t end up saving anything.

Is this everywhere of maybe just because I’m in London?

It is everywhere. I'm in a tiny village and mcdonalds on uber eats is much more expensive

I’ve noticed that with these sites the prices are somewhat more expensive, as they often include service charges/fees which don’t apply when you order direct. However, with the discounts I find that it often does actually work out cheaper. For example, they often offer 25%/50% vouchers which bring the price down considerably.

These Comapmies charge at last 25% to be on deliveroo etc. So the takeaway needs to add that on to their price list. So going direct will save you money for sure.

But it’s that everyone now finds it easy to pick up and us the app. However I’ve found that Uber eats seems to do more offers. So I use them when I get an offer to save the money

Same with me. Prices are really high. Example, 1 takeaway I get a quarter pounder with chips from direct is around £4.50, whereas on Uber it’s £3:50 for a 99 cheeseburger size with small portion of chips. I only ever use it if I have 50% voucher emailed to me
