These look quite tasty and also looking at the ingredients you could also swap the meat to pork/beef as my kids like red meat! Cheers
We have a weekly menu so I dont really have to think about whats for dinner that night, i do my weekly shop on a monday and everything is in ready for the week. Have you thought about a batch cooking? Say, set aside a couple of hours on a sat/sun and cook to freeze. You can do chilli, bolognaise, curry etc then all you have to do is pull it out the freezer, heat & pop the pasta/rice on. So many things are easily freezed. It saves loads of time.
Just some examples of meals we have: salmon with pasta & broccoli, curry & rice & popadoms, spag bol & garlic bread, lasagne & salad, beef stew & crusty bread, chicken tikka & rice also we love chicken wraps with all the salad. (Were not very adventurous when it comes to food, we all like basic homely meals )
Sometimes i just buy a frozen pizza & garlic bread and bung it in if Im feeling lazy!
PinkElephant26 we started doing a meal list during lockdown as it was too hard to nip out for missing ingredients and it's worked out so well we kept it up
Pasta bake is a really good quick and easy (and cheap) one - you can get the jars of sauce in all supermarkets and overall it’s a really quick meal with very minimal effort
Stir fry is another good one! You can get the packs of the veg in supermarket and also a sauce, do some rice or noodles with it and again a quick, easy and cheap (but lovely) meal
I'm trying to eat more healthy . I eat very little meat but Pasta can be the basis for many nourishing meals .
Frozen mixed veg . mange tout peas in a supermarket white sauce (half a jar ) , add Pasta of your choice top with grated cheese - 20 mins in oven , job done .
Must admit I still do a few oven chips with it so I can have a chip butty or two with it - That's my supper tonight . No animals or Just Eat involved , probably about 50p (if that ) and very little effort .
Cooking every day can be such a chore. But I don't like fast food as contributes to weight gain. As I have lost 7 stone I wouldn't like 2 pile bk on.
Good old spaghetti bolognese, I make up a batch and freeze, then it takes 10-15 minutes to boil up spaghetti or pasta, microwave meat, top with grated cheese, done.
I enjoy planning what to make out of what is in the fridge/freezer but then there's only the two of us so it's much easier for me! My husband doesn't cook so he has to eat it or go without!
