Do You Have Things That Seem to Dissapear at Home?

Ask a Question

Keys! I seem to spend my life looking for house keys, car keys, van keys , gate keys. There never where I last left them.

many reasons, feel something sitting on the bed and there is nothing (most nights!), things go missing when it’s just me there and I know I out it down. I can ask for it to be put back and sometimes it will be put back in the place I had left if.

this is all when alone. Lots of things. Oh and smells sometimes like cigarettes in the room.

i could go on. Haunted for years

My things don't tend to disappear, my husbands things always do. Everyday I hear "have you seen my phone / keys / lighter / wallet / ps4 controller / phone charger.... etc. 🤣🤣. And the couple times I couldn't find my phone it was because he left with it thinking it was his!

Tuppa wear! I end up with a handful of lids that don’t fit any of the bases lol

I've always got at least one thing "missing" at the moment it is a favourite shirt I intended wearing tomorrow, but while looking for it I've found something else I'd given up as "lost forever".

Can't work out where that shirt is - I'm reasonably certain I was wearing it when I came home the last time I wore it a few weeks ago. (I've even looked in the fridge).☺

UPDATE: about half an hour later... I found the shirt when looking for a guitar I wanted. Just noticed shirt IN FULL VIEW on a coat hanger where I must have looked hundreds of time since the search started... I think I've just remembered where that particular guitar is, it might be in its case, when I've found the case I'll check.

davidstockport that really made me smile. It's happened to me so many times when looking for a specific dress i'd like to wear. I'm pleased you found it in the end 😍

Thankfully that rarely happens, but on occasions when I’m really in need of something specific, it takes ages to find it. It drives me nuts as I normally know where everything is

This reminded me of many years ago when I was going on holiday and nervous about being burgled whilst away, I hid the remote controls for TV, video recorder etc. so the TV and recorder wouldn't be worth as much to anyone stealing them

I hid them so well it took me over a fortnight to find them after I returned,

One sock. My socks go into the washing basket in pairs but go into the washing machine singly. Eventually both socks will be reunited over a course of a few weeks. I do not question this anymore. I just know the missing sock will appear at some point.

My boyfriend is constantly asking where is this jacket, where are these jeans, where are them socks... literally takes me one look in the cupboard and they are in front of you!

You could use a spare phone as a CCTV camera, with it connected to your WhatsApp and then view what's going on. This could be more handy to check if you have a child, or what's happening down your street.

For example, in a neighborhood where I sometimes live (abroad), the garbage bins to recycle items were literally blown, exploded. I heard a loud bang, but I'm just glad it was just that and he/they didn't decide to burn the cars around. That issue aside, it's normally calm.
