Disappointing Flowers..!!

Ask a Question

I paid over £30 for a ‘luxury‘ bunch of rose and lilies bouquet for Mother’s Day.

This is how they were pictured on the website -

They look awful, I could have got a nicer bunch for £5.

Would you bother complaining to the company? It was eflorist online and they do have good reviews and 4 star trust pilot so I thought they would be okay!

Definitely complain and send the photos and request a refund not a replacement.

Yes, I would hate to think what the replacement would be like anyway, probably just as bad!

AliceBell64468 Looking at original I would expect 6 roses and at least 4 'stargazer' lily stems.

I would definitely complain! £30 is a lot of money, especially for flowers and you did not get what you paid for! Complain and ask for a refund as what you got was not what was advertised.

Yes it is, I wanted them to be special as I haven’t been able to afford to go up to Yorkshire go see her, but I would have rather put that £30 in the fuel tank and given her a cheap bunch of flowers, so disappointed! I will complain to them, I will try and find their email. I hope you enjoyed your Mother’s Day xx

AliceBell64468 I would be disappointed too! We stayed in today and video called our mums. My husband made me a lovely breakfast and my son slept for longer than normal this morning. A nice relaxed day xx

Complain and include a link to this page - they'll then see the pictures, and see it isn't just you who thinks something should be done about it, you should get a full refund and at least a bunch of flowers, like the top picture, as an apology, they might even send you a big box of chocolates too.

If they get to see this - DON'T UPSET ME OR MY FRIENDS! ☺

Complain for sure. Those look terrible! I picked a far nicer bunch of daffs from my garden than that yesterday.

I have found their email online so I am going to email a complaint. I know I could have probably got a nice bunch of daffodils for a lot cheaper as well x

Just going to echo what everyone else has said. They look nothing at all like the picture & I certainly understand why youd be upset. Hopefully you'll get the refund you clearly deserve.

Oh dear! Yes, definitely complain. They shouldn’t have bothered sending it in that state. I guess they got damaged in transit? Most likely they weren’t so great when they received them

Your order was shocking! Make sure you come back to this thread and give us an update. (if you look on the fb site there are a LOT of unhappy customers with many comments being deleted so you're not the only one)

Yes these flowers are just awful! I will keep you posted, I sent an email last night and haven’t had a response yet but I suspect it may be a delayed response with limited people in offices etc.! Shame that other people also had the disappointment! x

What a shame AliceBell64468. It is disappointing when you plan to surprise someone with a nice treat and you are let down. The florist may try to state that the lilies will open given time, but the roses will be dead by then! The flowers are not what you ordered in terms of the visual representation and she haS therefore broken your contract and you are entitled to a refund. Good Luck!

I know yeah, it is a disappointment! Like you say, by the time they open the roses will be completely dead and Mothers Day will be long gone! Fingers crossed they give me the refund 🙂

I’m sure the lilies will open but the roses look like they need to be conditioned. Google wilting roses, that might give you some suggestions. You should send those pictures to the seller and ask for a refund. They may only part refund as the lilies look okay.

Try this. Take your wilted flower and snip the stem at an angle about 1 inch from the already cut end of the flower. 2. Add three teaspoons of sugar to the lukewarm water in your vase, and place the wilted flower in and let it sit. The sugar will perk them right up!

Thank you for the advice, I will let my mom know to see if she can get them to perk up a little. I hope for a refund of some sort as these were just not up to expectation! x

AliceBell64468 I like flower arranging especially when I’ve got slots of greenery in the garden, then you don’t need to buy many flowers.

Sorry that is hilariously bad. Yes, you should complain! I'm sure your mum appreciated them regardless though so don't worry about that.

Personally, I wouldn't accept a replacement - they weren't fit for purpose on a booked day that was not repeatable. I would request a refund - but nobody else can make that decision for you. Got to be honest Alice, they were not cheap! You can always mention that your Mum would not be happy to receive them under the present circumstances as she is now isolated. If they refuse there are many of us willing to comment on their page. x

I agree with Angemski. The day has gone it cannot be repeated and you can't guarantee the replacement will be any better.
