divination - the art or gift of prophecy (or the pretense of prophecy) by supernatural means fortune telling , soothsaying , foretelling prophecy , vaticination , prognostication - knowledge of the future (usually said to be obtained from a divine source)

I doubt there are many on LD who practise this so it seems rather pointless to even ask.

However, I will be interested to know if anyone on here feels they can divine the future.

tumblespots although it wasn't foreseen (as in supernatural means) we were told in the registration service in 2008 to prepare for it. We had to go to meetings and plan ahead for registering the high amount of deaths expected.

This begs the question as to why our leaders were not prepared as they had 12 years to begin stockpiling PPE and preparing the NHS with extra beds etc.

Makes my blood boil because we knew it was coming!

Lynibis I assume they would lay the blame squarely at the feet of previous governments as over 12 years there have been some changes in leadership. Do they (as they should) pass on all the secrets they hold? Or just those that they believe are more imminent. This probably got put on the back burner, quite erroneously as it turns out, as it was reported at the time (indeed, many times), that we couldn't get stocks of PPE for love nor money when they were needed most. Ultimately those at the top should be held accountable but we also know that they never are...

tumblespots I agree and in that case governments are not fit for purpose as their prime mandate should be to care for and protect the people. It seems to me they just score points off each other.

I won't say more as we are not meant to talk politics, but very hard to talk covid without bringing politics into it.

Lynibis I wonder if all those who have lost relatives & jobs feel protected and cared for? As you say all they seem to use parliament for is to 'debate/argue' but not to decide, they are just playing at being 'big boys' and will never be Statesmen.

tumblespots the Simpsons. Also I've just read a Karin Slaughter book. In that book a virus is mentioned in that like covid. If memory serves correctly I think it was 2008/09 published. So somebody new something.

Lynibis the book would have been written before 2008 to be published in 2008 so was before that.

I’ve been on my spiritual path for 8 months, haven’t delved too deep though. Mostly reading and researching, trying to figure out my true divination.
