I found the best place to look was pinterest, some fab ideas! Word of warning though...be prepared to spend hours on pinterest its addictive!
I'm addicted to Pinterest and have a peak everyday. I've found lots of ideas for jobs that need doing around my home.
What rooms are you doing ?
Wallpaper from b&m is great.
Check gumtree for upcycling if you see anything on Pinterest that takes your fancy. Check charity shops now as well as they are opening. Someone might have got rid of what you want also. Esp during lockdown. I think many peeps done some form of changes.

Don’t use wallpaper or dark walls yes in trend now but the work you got to do to change colour when board or may not like is extremely hard work. I have decided to go all white on walls now and had colour with accessories which you can change cheaply spray ornaments etc. Frencic print really good if won’t to update kitchen or tiles the lazy range no prep needed
... nor gas!!! Get the professionals in!!! Recently had to 'educate' a 24 year old nephew on its dangers!
Other than being costly, it can also be dangerous.
As far as electricity goes for me, it's changing EUR plugs to U.K. plugs (far safer and stable), changing lamps, maybe installing CCTVs and about it.
And when you call an expert, better hope it's an actual expert than an amateur.
Not long ago I bought a drill to make holes because hammering nails just doesn't work, and eventually falls off, if not instantly.
I've also covered holes with adhesive glue tubes. Ideally, I'd prefer to get rid of the thick wallpapers, but that would be a lot of work and it's not summer yet so maybe I'll do it later.
In my opinion the best way to get it done on the cheap is get my old dad to come and do it. In his 70s but still loves to help out.
