D.I.Y - Kitchen Tiles

Hiya everyone just looking to see if anyone got any ideas.
Im currently redecorating but my house is rented, we are allowed to paint the walls etc but my kitchen tiles are blue 
i cant paint them because its too permananet i need something that can be removed. Ive looked at vinyl but not sure that would stick tiles, also some of the tiles are behind the cooked so i need something thats heat resistant.
I was thinking i could get the plastic cladding but i dont think that will be very good by the cooker 
Anyone know what i can do to cover them please.
Have you looked for tile sticker on tranfers loads ideas on pinterst i wouldnt use plastic cladding Fablon also easy to remove Do you have a nice landload maybe he/she would be happy for upgrade always worth asking
Ive seen the tile stickers but they are not the normal square tiles im covering they are big ones. I might just paint them, im sure i could scrape the paint off if need be

if you need to remove paint of unit or tiles the pink stuff spray will strip it took gloss off my banisters when only wonted to wash them
Ann1984 haha good to know. I will remember not to use that for anything other thorough cleaning and not on paint

If you're worried about heat behind the cooker - why bother doing anything where it can't be seen.
davidstockport it can be seen. The hobs are built into the kitchen worktop and the edge is about 2-3cm away from the wall. Im not sure if their built so that nothing on the outside of frame doesnt burn or what. I could put a piece of paper of the wall, turn the hobs on and see what happens
dholly39 i suppose i could paint a spare tile in the cupboard then see how easy it is to remove
KirsteyJames yes 100% my husband got paint on some of our floor tiles and used white spirit, obviously was super strong but it done the job 
I am in the process of choosing some tile stickers for my kitchen. They have some lovely ones on amazon
Have you considered kitchen? 'splashback' panels. Some of them are heat resistant and are light enough to attach with double sided tape or clumps of blu tack. Not 100% sure on the company but it's something like metals for you - worth a look. IKEA also do various panels.
Try Vinyl wrap
This one looks quite nice - i vinyl wrapped my car recently it sticks and stays on a treat
Or you can try the latest non vinyl acrylic wrap but its more expensive
This one is rather classy lol
If the vinyl is similar to that in vinyl records (33rpms and 45rpms) I don't think it will be very heat resistant. You could put a Max Bygraves or Des O'Connor record behind the cooker to check. (If that doesn't melt them a hammer might do the trick 
)
