Have You Had a Doctors Appointment over the Phone

I think they will likely continue to offer many appointments by phone, even if just for certain things or could give you the option of which you'd prefer.

Yes, I much prefer it as i try to go to the doctors as little as possible and it’s usually for something that can easily be solved over the phone - I.e I know what is wrong and I just need this prescription or the need for a referral somewhere.. i think it saves so much time and is easier for everyone but obviously it won’t be suitable for every situation..

Yes I have but, more often than not, my appointments were usually over the phone before lockdown. Phone appointments were always more readily available at my GP surgery and there would often be a 1 hour wait for the face-to-face appointments as they'd always be running late.

Yes I've had a few before lockdown. It's easier if it's something you can sort out over the phone. However, I find my Drs say they will ring at a time but state it can be anywhere around that time of up to a couple of hours. Not good if you are going out or need the loo!

I've had phone appointment quite often before lockdown and find them easier than going in for a face to face and also mostly always get a phone appointment on the day I ring up

I had two over the phone. One was because OTC medication was not working and the other was for a scheduled appointment. I had forgotten that the appointment was on that day, so I was out for a walk in the park with my daughter. I was happy with both phone appointments. Since one was for an oncology hospital appointment, it probably saved me about 3 hours.

Ive had one appointment over the phone and one at the doctors surgery. I've also been to the doctors surgery three times for b12 injections. The over the phone appointment was quick and easy. The appointments at the surgery were ok aswell. They had me go in the back way and they provide you with a mask before going in.
