Does Anyone Know Whether 'Gogroopie' is a Trustworthy Site to Order From?

Ask a Question

I have just seen an excellent deal on some Egyptian Cotton Towels but the deal means buying from the website 'GoGroopie'.. I have searched the internet to see if I can find out more and unfortunately Trust Pilot has them rated as only One Star.. Have any of you guys out there had any experience with GoGroopie?

I wouldn't buy from any of these "voucher sites " . Think about it , you are adding another tier into the profit chain .

The price of the "voucher ", £5.99 , has to be added to the price ,so not such a great deal .

Finally when your item fails to arrive(as often happens ) ,who do you complain to ?

Search Egyptian Cotton Towels on EBay or Amazon and I am confident you will find identical items at a lower price (often with the same retailer ) . That way if the item doesn't arrive you have a direct relationship with the seller through EBay or Amazon .

I've checked out a lot of prices on these deals which suck gullible folks in with large discounts off totally "made up " RRPs . All I have checked can be bought cheaper on Ebay or Amazon . Don't believe me - check it our yourself .

keepitjijjy I would look into the deal more carefully before you fall for the excellent offer. (they do have some good deals but there are also some doozies) Egyptian cotton varies tremendously - what's the thread count? Do they even mention it? As a rule of thumb the higher the count, the finer and softer the fabric is. The lower number of threads means that the fabric will be thicker. This works great when judging bed linens but when you buy towels it works in the opposite way. Google John Lewis or another outlet and see how they describe their towels before you jump and remember that the delivery voucher has to be added to your deal so factor that into the total price.

Edit - From John Lewis

GSM stands for grams per square metre and is a standard measurement for the weight of a towel. A high GSM is a good indication of a thick, highly absorbent towel and at 700gsm these are amongst our plushest towels.
