Does Anyone Love Watching Money for Nothing
Other
I love the way they do up old things and give them a new life but they do spend a lot of money sometimes to get the same result that I think I could get for less

I watch it and sometimes think the money they spend is mad! No wonder the items don't always sell when you see some of the prices! Plus some of them look horrible!

Omg I think this too! I’m kind of obsessed with the show because I absolutely love recycling/upcycling but sometimes some of the creations just really aren’t worth the £££’s at the end. Great to see what can be made with some of the finds though

HannahSunderlan exactly! I am amazed at some of the things that they make and how amazing they look, but I just think I would never pay that!!

Me too i kinda like it but the so called designer crudd they sell is just nuts and those guys that charge £100+ for sanding down an old tree stump and selling it as a designer chair for some London yuppie pad is a joke!
Shabby chique i would like to smother the person who invented that phrase!

Lydskyd I understand that they need to make a living and charge for their time and materials but it just seems like so much money.
I hate that phrase too!

I love the program but omg how that Jay Blades gets so much money for dribbling a brightly coloured paint down one leg of a chair is beyond rediculous !

Is that her name - wow you must admit though thats a pretty cool name!
Sounds like something out of bladerunner!

lol I seem to have opened a can of worms. yeah Jay Blades paints one leg a different colour and all the daft people with too much money queue up to buy it

Agree - cannot understand the interest in a chair with a 'signature' different colour leg - It's not even creative - he just ran out of main paint...........

also I don't get the robot making man. why would you buy a robot that doesn't do very much and looks like the inside of a car engine and they sell for so much

I prefer buy it , fix it , sell it tv show or the one with the biker guy who takes old rusty things and makes them into art "the restorer" or something its called he is very good!
Then we have Drew Pritchard.
I was on holiday in Caernarfon on my way to Portmerion last year and according to the locals he is a bit of a nob and quite violent when he is drunk - whether its true or not i dont know but the locals dont like him!
He always comes across as a sad wee baldy man to me i never thought he would have been a nasty piece of work?

I love this programme, doesnt matter how much they spend its only for tv no one would reallh invest so much
