Does Anyone Shop on the High Street Anymore ?

Other

Obviously some people still shop on the high street but it must be getting rarer and rarer. I would love to support my local high street but sadly the cheaper online prices and my not so great income doesn’t allow me to.

I still shop on the high streets, although more likely to browse than buy, because I sometimes see something I like and then check it up online to see if I can get it cheaper with codes or cashback.

nipperjwb for me, if it wasn’t for the fact that Primark doesn’t sell things online, I’d rarely buy from the high street. And with TK Maxx, I find they do better offers instore than online

hspexy I do like primark but have to travel for an hour to my nearest one so it’s usually a winter and a summer trip to bulk buy stuff. Shame they don’t have online shopping.

nipperjwb I have a Primark 3 min walk from my house but I'm the opposite: I don't like it... I do most of my shopping online as I don't like my high street shop unfortunately

I do most of my clothes shopping on the high street. For me sending back unwanted clothes by post is too much of a hassle.

When it comes to clothes shopping I buy on the highstreet so that I can try them on, but I don't do a lot of clothes shopping. I have been doing our food shopping online as it is easier with our wee one.

Some stores are closing because of this and the high streets gets empty or the stores are moving to one building to make huge shopping centers. I like old style department stores and they have some good offers, better than online, just need to go and have look.

I do find it incredibly sad that some buisinesses are having to close. My nearest town is Salisbury and I know the shop rents there are astronomical. More and more have had to close which means less and less people shop there. It’s a vicious circle. I rarely venture in to town these days as there arnt really any shops there that sell much that I’d buy.
