Does Giving to Charity ByPass Affiliate Links.

I recently decided to support a local charity via Amazon. Now when I go to browse or purchase, from links from LD - I sometimes get the pop up (below).
I am wondering if purchasing via the Smile Amazon link deprives this site of commission via affiliate links. I hope my suspicions are groundless but would like clarification. Tom Kelsey 
Tbh, I don’t know. But if you want to give to charity, then do it. We support Save The Children — Every time we send a LD member an Amazon Voucher, a donation is also made 
I already support the charity (they get my YouTube earnings) so prefer anything from affiliate links to the person or organisation that directed me to the deal.
From memory I think the charity donation is only half of one percent of what I spend so the charity won't be missing out on much. I hope your affiliate link commission is more lucrative.
I always go through LD, add the item to my basket, then go back in via Smile, I'm hoping that way it should be OK for both the charity and LD
I was thinking that when you go to Smile Amazon that it MIGHT break the connection with the affiliate link. If I can get a definitive answer to my question I will come back to this topic.
elise I'll do my best to get an answer - I am always a little suspicious of things like that, if my suspicion is correct it could be a way of lowering the amount paid to those on affiliate link programmes.
I must emphasise this is ony a suspicion that might be totally groundless.
