Donkey’s taste for knickers proves hard to swallow
A donkey had to be rushed to the vets for emergency surgery after eating too many pairs of its owner's knickers.
Joanne Dearie, 47, became worried when her pet donkey Brian stopped eating. She took Brian to Priory Vets in Barnsley where staff were stunned to discover its owner’s silk thongs were clogging up the donkey’s stomach. They carried out a two-hour operation to save Brian’s life. “When they pulled out my black lacy knickers everyone had a bit of a shock” said Mrs Dearie.
But within hours of being back home, Brian raided the washing basket again swallowing another set of underwear. Mrs Dearie took the donkey straight back to the vets, where it was given medication to make it vomit, narrowly avoiding further surgery. Mrs Dearie said "This time it was my daughter Sally's pink lace thong that had disappeared from the washing basket. It's a good thing Brian doesn't fancy my husband's boxers". Oh heck ..... yep ....I read it all the way to the end .... in my defence ....I AM still bleary eyed! 
Me too, didn't dawn on me until end. All I could think of was the silly cow allowing it to happen a second time!
I thought it was a believable story, but then I am an April Fool, it's my Birthday
I read it at 17.55 so no longer April fools but that's the best one I've heard all day
Johnny ... saw my elderly dad today ... he did the £1 scratchcard I'd put in his card .... he began looking 'Cheshire Cat -ish' and told me he'd won and that he'd share the win with me as it was large-ish.... I didn't believe him for quite a while (thanks to you reminding me of April Fool 
).....but he showed me and had won £100...or so we thought! An hour late I thought I'd just check how he should claim.... and there it was .... yep... he did have 4 matching pics .... and yep...that would mean a £100 win BUT ... the were not in a line of any sort no matter how we looked! So...we were both fooled....and disappointed. He then did the second £1 card (yes...I'm a big spender!) ... and did win a fiver so not all bad eh!?
