Do You Have Your Dream Job?
Ask a Question
Do you have your dream job? If so what is it? If not what would it be? Do you think you will ever get your dream job? If nothing stood in your way what would be the ultimate job?
I am lucky in that I wanted to be a chef since I was about 10, and I have been doing that job now for about 30 years.
If I had to do anything different though I'd like to be doing something with plenty of travel.
This is fantastic, what kind of restaurant do you work in? Or what kind of cuisine are you an expert?
bzortead I work in a theatre, so we do meals for people who want one before a show.
We are also on the seafront so plenty of passing trade.
And then of course a couple of function rooms - so all in all plenty to keep me busy.
No.. i would like to think maybe I could one day.. I’d love to start up a doggy day care business, hiring a big hall and having loads of toys / agility course set up and just play with puppies and dogs all day...
Retirement My Partner and I decided to stop work, live on our savings and be poor and happy rather than rich and dead, maybe throw in a bit of travelling, then Covid struck - no travel, we'll wait no hurry, we've retired.
My dream job is forensic accountant which don't think I will get after welcoming motherhood and working part time.
I did. Only my dreams changed... when I was little I thought barmaid job was cool. To mix cocktails etc. I worked as one for a while and realised it's less glamorous especially when you got bosses constantly breathing down your neck...then I thought retail might be better. So I did that. And there's not much else I can learn and no more room for growth so I got bored...I would love to do something with arts or crafts but unfortunately it doesn't pay that well...
