Do You Drink Pop? Sick of the Sugar Tax?

Ask a Question

Now I do like a nice can/bottle of pop, but due to the sugar tax, most manufacturers are putting sweeteners in their drink to cut costs.

So now I'm having to pay a fortune on drinks like Fentimans or Dalstons ☹️

Do you have a favourite soft drink or is it just tonic water in your gin? πŸ˜‰

Imnotcheap I don't drink anything that has sweeteners in it because they leave a nasty aftertaste.

I used to love a 7UP or a Sprite before they changed the recipe 😒

I do not think sugar tax is really there...

I mean the diet coke is same price like the one with sugar. Very often sugary things are on sale and the healthy alternatives are not.

Won't, don't and can't drink pop. A dozen teaspoons of sugar in every can? Diabetes. I can barely drink squash or cordial as it is so sweet and only put about a tablespoon in a glass of water just to give it a slight taste.

I mainly drink water after my one a day coffee first thing.

I've gotten used to and now like the flavour of Pepsi Max and Coke Zero. I drink those instead

Almost impossible to get a real coke anymore and the stuff they replaced it with is horrible.

I rarely drink fizzy pop, I stick to water! Although my partner drinks diet lemonade which we get the Tesco brand one, that costs 99p for 4 cans ☺️

Pepsi Max has always been one of my favourite drinks. I find it refreshing. I was never really a fan of the original Pepsi on the other hand.

Well, there is Franklin & Sons 1886 cola and Francis Hartridge Cola. There are cola drinks made outside the UK like Faygo. American Fizz website.

Maybe check out Cut Price Barry's and Best Before It's Gone you might spot something nice. The rose lemonade has too much rose.
