In the News

https://www.nme.com/news/music/german-club-holds-drive-in-rave-to-circumvent-coronavirus-restrictions-2658551

so people are itching for a party, and so one club in Germany holds a drive-in rave to circumvent coronavirus restrictions

and based on reactions, this might catch on. Would you be happy to ‘party’ this way?

I haven't been to a party for years tbh, but that's just my age.

We stopped going to gigs a while back too because of all the fools who use their mobile phones.

As soon as all mobiles are stopped at the entrance to a gig, we won't be going to another one.

That's a bit like being stuck in a traffic jam with the radio turned on. Once the novelty factor has worn off I can't see that catching on. I wonder how they dealt with people going to the toilet... It'll probably be more like smaller illegal 1990s style raves, such as recently seen in Telford - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-shropshire-52696720

It's possible we may start to see an increasing number of drive-in-cinemas appearing - https://www.timeout.com/london/news/buckle-up-a-swanky-new-drive-in-cinema-is-coming-to-london-051520
