Driving Test over 60
Other
Should over 60s have to pass another driving test in order to brush up their knowledge to current driving standards?
No, they have gained plenty of experience. Now over 80 is different, one of my neighbours had several accidents and paid for them without going through insurance company to keep his accidents private.
It's certainly an issue. I agree with Pjran 60s is probably too low. This issue is also getting quite a lot of attention in Japan due to the number of accidents involving elderly drivers.
In this video clip an elderly woman, in Japan, is driving along the pavement. Seemingly oblivious to the danger she is putting herself in and that of pedestrians. Fortunately there were no reports of anyone getting hurt in this incident - https://twitter.com/aaats04/status/1077435994545127424
