It's been announced that Harry & Meghan are moving back to the UK, but nothing will change, they will remain as private individuals, I think it will add a bit more interest to the Royal Family, especially them being young with young children, I'm glad they are coming back, are you?
Why they'd want to come back to this sh*thole of a country, I don't know. If I had the chance to leave the UK, I'd be gone.

Good for them. I'm no fan of the monachy as I think its an outdated constitution but the hate they both get is only in the right winged bubble. Most people, like myself, are very indifferent to them. I think Harry did the correct thing and got them out but they obviously feel more comfortable now to come back to England.
I have zero interest in the royals but catch a headline here or there but surely likely to move again at some point. All the stuff going on in the world and this is a headline is a real head scratcher for me. If they were moving to Mars now that would be a headline.
Can't stand them to be honest.
I've followed the nonsense that they've done for the 6+ years that they moved away, saying that they were going to make their own way in life, but found that the only successful money-maker was the brickbats they threw at his family.
I think that they've discovered that they are only relevant by being a Royal Family adjacent family.

To be honest they are attention seekers. I've no time for Harry and Meghan. Harry used to be great til he married Meghan. I don't like her and find her fake.
I'm with you Jerseydrew, l liked Harry but not Meghan, siblings don't always get along (that's life) but being in the firm / royal fold the lives of all the royals good or bad will always be splashed over social media..
Jerseydrew I can't stand either of them now. I used to like Harry, but looking back, I think that the Harry I liked wasn't the real person but a construct of the palace. Being with Meghan just allowed him to show his true envious and bitter self.
Pinkspirit yes, siblings don't always get along, but to carry forward into adulthood the envy the William had an extra sausage for breakfast was ridiculous and showed how stupid and envious Harry is

We are all entitled to our opinions, there are quite a few not very complimentary comments here, but nobody actually knows them personally, their views come from what's read in Newspapers and Social Media, where again some will like them and others won't, Americans lives, ways and personalities are different to peoples in the UK, non of us are perfect, we all have faults and Harry loves Meghan and they have children, that's all that's important really, I hope it works out for them!

I recounted an interaction between Prince Harry and his nanny about the number of sausages on his plate.
The ex-butler told the newspaper that as he remembers his time at the Palace, he believes he saw “the dynamic at play”. He said: “One time I saw the nanny give William three sausages at breakfast and Harry had two.
“And Harry would look at his plate and say, how come he gets three? And I only get two?”
The nanny reportedly replied: “William needs filling up more than you. He’s going to be king one day.”
Mr Burrell concluded: “Harry would fall quiet and suck it up, but that’s what he had to contend with, even in his own home.”
I guess they are coming back to take advantage of the private eduaction opportunities in this country for their children. As long as they remain private indiviuals and don't seek publicity and public attention it's up to them ,however I can't honestly see that happening, more attention seeking with problems for the Royals and more embarrassement for the uk is more likely
The hate they get is ott imo. Granted airing their dirty laundry wasn't a good look but equally I believe they were telling the truth. Good luck to them, I hope they are able to settle back in & enjoy their lives here.
As long as they are funding themselves and their security good luck to them. As a nation we can not afford to pay any more royals, King Charles III through the Sovereign Grant, which is £137.9 million for the 2026/27 financial year,
I wonder if Charles if more ill than we have been led to believe and that's why he's coming back. I can't see Meghan wanting to be here or sticking around. Could be the beginning of the end of that marriage.
Sherrifffroggy media is speculating that they are here to make sure that, if and when the inevitable happens, they can fight their corner as William is reported as saying he will renounce their Royal titles, or those of their children.
I used to be a die hard monarchist but to be honest I have no time for any of them now, they are only figure heads with no power. I realise they bring in money from tourism etc but does that outweigh what the monarchy costs to maintain, I don't know and can't say I really care.
Lynibis I agree with you. I don't think William is keen on them at all and he strikes me as having a mean streak to him. If this was olden times, he would be sending people to the tower including Uncle Andy and Harry! I think the monarchy is an outdated idea from a bygone era.
Sherrifffroggy forgiveness is the mainstay of this country's Christian religion so if the upper class can't manage to forgive each other they're no better than us plebs lol.
I don't think many care, the royal family are a complete joke, they are nothing more than an expensive tourist attraction
Good luck to them. I hope they reconnect with their family, for the sake of their kids. I personally would do away with the royal family & the ideas of hierarchy/looking up to the monarchy (such an archaic system), but as long as they’re still around, let’s hope they set a good example for society (forgive, show kindness, share their fortune…)
If he was so unhappy here in the UK, why on earth would you come back.
I don’t give two hoots and I hate the way the media are all over them but I guess until the general public stop buying or watching they’ll continue.
I wish them no ill will but I hope we’re not paying as they are are non working royals.
I've no interest in the royal family but don't think it's due to money like I've seen some people saying. I genuinely believe Charles isn't as well as what's being let on (my opinion) and think is health is one of, if not the main factor for them coming back
KateGriff169 Some people saying?? There is sooo much speculation on why Harry is moving back to the UK it's totally ridiculous! People are making up their own mind, with some bizarre theories too, unless you hear anything official then it's just a guessing game, because nobody personally knows Harry, and he is the only one who knows the real reason why he's moving back to the UK, perhaps he's just homesick!
JoTarpley yeah seen on a couple of platforms people saying they're only moving back because they're skint and looking to worm their way back into privileges and everything that comes with it etc
I'm not sure what the motivation behind this is but I do hope there is an attempt from both sides to repair the broken relationships, I'm sure I read that King Charles had not seen grandchildren for 4 years or something which is really sad. I think a return to public duty in the future would be good but I hope they aren't expecting the tax payer to foot the bill for their security etc if they are remaining private citizens.
I have very little interest in the Royal family overall and this won't increase it at all.
Personally id never leave this country its home and I love it.
Theres a lot worse countries to live in. For all the people who moan you can always leave.

Is it true they've moved to the Cotswolds? I'm sure I could google that answer, but I'm sure someone here would know for certain? If so that's in Gloucestershire and doesn't Charles live in Gloucestershire? Moving a close to his Father? I wouldn't of thought of that after all he's said about his family.
I used to love Harry before he met Megan. He was the life and soul of the party. It was like I’m never going to be King so I can just have a laugh. He seemed to get very serious once he was with Megan. I think moving away was the best thing for them, the only downside was the links he lost with his family. I think he stay away and enjoy his family out of the spotlight as much as possible unfortunately Megan likes the spotlight.
