Are You Dyslexic Too?
Ask a Question
If you which type of dyslexia you have and what's your biggest struggle in life.
Mine is writing although this new technology phones help a lot and made my life much easier but still sometimes I take 10 minutes to write a simple sentence.
Yeah I am I've gone all my life thinking why can't I do this why can't I spell or write until I was 32 and was told I am dyslexic it all makes sense now lol my brother he was told he was when he was in primary school hasn't stopped him doing anything tho
I found out when I was 37 and I was always blamed for being lazy and not trying enough in my school:/
I’m also dyslexic can be very embarrassing when your mistakes get pointed out to you I really struggled in school teachers calling out my many mistakes thought i was just stupid did not get diagnosed until I was doing tests for health and safety the examiner advised me to get checked it was a relief knowing there was a reason for it
Leannexxx I have these type of attitude online when people can't win an argument and starting to target my grammar and spellings :/
I’m dyslexic also and luckily got diagnosed in secondary school, I used to be so embarrassed by it but now im proud to be as most intelligent people have/had dyslexia I.e Richard Branson, Steve jobs, Thomas Edison, Albert Einstein to name a few. We all think out the box.
I never let anyone to tell me otherwise, I know I did my best and if someone is not happy with my work they can do it themselves.
How do you get tested later in life? I’ve always had a feeling I might be and wanted to find out as I find certain things. Writing, reading quite difficult.
Ask your GP please, they should be able to refer you for a test, some people do online as well but I am sure about that.
