Dysons £420 Toothbrush - Would You Buy It?

I know Dyson is high quality tech, so I expect this toothbrush to be top tier - but is £420 a price you’d part with to clean your teeth?
I may consider it if it saves me going to the dentist (if any dentist would vouch for it & say you don’t need to visit them regularly , as at least I’d save money that way)

If they could prove it helps and actually stops decay or needing to go to the dentist regularly then I'm all for it. Especially with the prices at dentists nowadays. However I can't imagine it would so there's no way I'd spend that amount of money every few years. Not sure I like the design of it either, seems rather bulky in the middle. The price of new heads is high as well so the cost keeps adding up.
I'm not sure I would buy it at £420 but may consider it if/when it becomes cheaper, as you say Dyson is high quality technology and sometimes that can be worth the price. I remember when the Dyson airblade first came out it was pretty expensive but now it's a little bit more affordable so I do expect the same from this toothbrush.
It has a camera and squirts jets, I am intrigued about it now.
Wow that's a lot of money for a toothbrush, I would need to know a bit more about it first and why it would be so much better than my OralB electric toothbrush.
TiaTia all my electric toothbrushes have been £20-30 & usually last a few years, so I think £420 is steep. On one occasion my partner got to trial an oral b toothbrush that was RRPd at £250 & it did not last any longer than the cheaper ones - if anything, the additional snazzy functions just drained the battery & used up resources when paired with the phone (was meant to monitor how well you brushed each time & highlight any parts of the mouth you have not cleaned well). No one has that much time to use the fancy functions all the time
I certainly wouldn't pay that for a toothbrush, Dyson is a top brand and everything they make is quality, but £420 is a bit steep
Sounds great,just been reading up on it as the advert came up on my phone..I already have the i08 which was expensive enough so I don't think I will..
Over £400 for a toothbrush? No thanks you're good. It won't be much better then other toothbrushes if you ask me. You'll be paying for the name
I have many Dyson products around my home including fans, air wraps, hairdryers and vacuum cleaners. Would I buy this toothbrush? Like others have said if it meant I didn’t need to visit the dentist then yes I would as my top fear in life is the dentists chair. Last time I went I was 22. So that was many years ago. The dentist said I needed some back teeth out and I never went back. Never had a filling and my teeth are fine. It would be good to try before you buy but obviously this would not be an option, I can not see you would be able to take it back if your not happy with it.
Not a chance would I paid £420 on a tooth brush I wouldn't even paid that for their hoovers

I'd advise not buying directly from Dyson. They refused a return on my faulty fan even though it was in the warranty period. I wouldn't give the overpriced cowboys another penny of my money

No way would I spend that. It's a premium product for those with high disposable income which I haven't got. I doubt even if I was a billionaire I would buy it as I'm sure I would still value 'value' in my purchases. I tend not to go cheapest or must expensive I tend to buy stuff that you get the most bang for your buck rather than being the very cheapest but this is just ridiculously expensive.
Honestly no. I do use an electric one alongside a regular manual one. Apart from reaching around the back of teeth at the top and bottom, I don't think the electric one is that good at cleaning.
It did look very good but doubt I would get one even if on offer, not too many teeth left
I will stick to my sonic rechargeable temu toothbrush, £4 with three heads and still going strong after 12 months, the dog has the same and she loves it, knowing she gets a treat after each clean, lol
Imnotcheap If they really want they could allow people to try it as you just replace the brush heads.
Dyson manufactures in Asia; Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines and of course China which all are low cost manufacturing countries so its clear there is huge profiteering going on although design and engineering is still in the UK in Wiltshire I believe. It's headquarters are in Singapore. I like to support British companies where possible but its not very British nowadays. However James Dyson has his tax base in the UK and pays huge tax here on his personal income.
I just buy a job lot of bamboo brushes on Temu or Amazon.Aint got many teeth left anyway.I could buy a months shopping for 420.
Not interested at that price, I have a very good Oral B brush that cost less than £100 and always proved effective.
I have been reading up a bit more on this toothbrush and it explains it has a camera linked to an app so you can see what a dentist would see inside your mouth. The technology is amazing. The toothbrush then knows where to floss and where to work harder. Although a downside you have to purchase the Dyson toothpaste to go with it at £8.50. But I think the first lot comes with the toothbrush.
I really like Dyson products A LOT, but no, just no.
If you want an electric toothbrush just buy an Oral B model.
I've seen Dyson headphones and they look so stupid, for a moment I thought a guy was wearing vacuum cleaners on his ears. This is just as ridiculous.
