Does anyone on here sell on eBay ? I do but was wondering if any one knows what sort of time of day is the best time for a listing to end for maximum sale price ? I’ve been working on the assumption that any time is the same but my friend thinks early evening is the best time for selling.
In the USA, eBay statistics show that more users are online buying on eBay in evening hours, and Sunday night is the most lucrative night. I expect it's the same in the UK.
Try to avoid having your auctions ending while the majority of your potential customers are sleeping or are at work.
I usually list my stuff during the day so it ends during the day but i suppose it makes sense to have them end in the evening when more people are probably online. Thanks for your help. I would have thought the statistics are the same in the uk as in the usa.
Personally i think Sunday (afternoon or early evening) is a good day , for selling as I think there are a lot of people off work and at home on their computers/phones then.
I rarely bother with auctions now thou if I'm selling I list a Buy it now or Offers price, and generally if I'm buying look for the same, so annoying wanting to buy something and find it doesn't end on a auction for 4-5 day or being outbid in the last minute.
That is true but don’t you think you’d get a better price if there are 2 people wanting one of your items ?
i always list so it ends around 730pm as i think most people have eaten then andusually bathed the kids and watching the soaps but looking at the pc too x
As far as I know, bedtime is the best shopping peak. In addition, most people buy on Tuesday and Wednesday.
